  1. yes you could well be right. But the tanking issue must be killed stone dead or the competition is at risk.
  2. strategies to gain priority picks. Quite straightforward. You are not going to deny that are rp?
  3. i never said it did. The AFL made the rules not a court of law. But to those who say we did not manipulate the rules of the day to get a better output i beg to differ. I believe the AFL must do something to save face. But that does not mean we cannot challenge in a court. 2 separate issues Stuie.
  4. how am i contradicting myself Stuie? The MFC put strategies in place to win NO MORE than 4 games a year in 2008-9 to maximize our chances of recieving priority picks. That is well known. Backed up by our last departing coach. Did the players tank? NO. Did the coaches and match committee during the weeks before games devise strategies to minimize our chances of winning games? $$$ on that one for me. The rules were there to bend...The MFC (& others) bent 'em. The major point here is, Did our actions compromise the game or as they like to say "Bring the game into disrepute"?
  5. a few months ago i said i wanted the AFL to do whatever it deemed so this whole sordid chapter of "Tanking" could be finished once and for all. My thoughts have not changed. It still drags on. The club took advantage of dodgy draft rules to maximize our pick value over 2 years. 4 wins in each of 2 years. We did it & we all know it. Head out of the sand rpfc. If we are sanctioned by the AFL i would go straight to court. The AFL made the rules not the MFC, we just pushed them.
  6. i didn't say it could be proved. But it did happen. A court of law would rip the AFL apart. Herein lies their problem.
  7. This could well go to court. The AFL set the rules. Too many grey areas. Tanking did happen. But the AFL put their head in the sand during those years.
  8. well said Carrot. It is a day i will not forget. Nunb was the only reaction.
  9. Wins and a rock solid attitude to winning.
  10. Very interesting situation. The AFL must have a heavy hand in all this, but at the same time do not wish to end in court. Court is a possibility make no mistake. Does anyone really know what GW$'s salary cap actually is?
  11. The Holden 186 Red.
  12. agreed. But it is still a big ask. Unless the players look each other in the eye over this preseason. David Rodan won 5 Flags before his AFL career started. I bet he would love one last crack at the grail. It may well be a big factor in his recruitment.....Drive.
  13. may i ?That just made my day....Pure Gold Thanks. WYL...
  14. leonard Hayes in a Demon Jumper....mmmmmmmmmmmmm
  15. i will say that i was very p!ssed off when we didn't beat the Aints last year. We almost deserved to win it. But the reality was we fell short by about 20 minutes. Which is unacceptable.
  16. Nah, the players who got delisted would have still got delisted.
  17. there was marginal improvement (if any) last season. Players had to go, some who have been retained are very luck in my eyes as are some positions within the club. 2013 will tell a lot about the MFC.
  18. Restraint of trade Rhino. They contracts were signed off. But feel free to keep disagreeing...
  19. They will be at the end of next season if results do not improve...
  20. An excellent point that the Media never bring up...186 that is, not vietnamese soup kitchens which i love, unlike 186!!!
  21. disagree completely Fat. You have little understanding of how Free Agency works now & in the future.
  22. ^^^ agree. I just wish the media could see it this way.
  23. Who would you have recruited JCB? We had to pay overs because of how far back we came from...It will be the same next year. The board & CS are now one entity, in it together & are on notice this year imo.
  24. yes the Mclardy board & CS are on notice but Smith was still bagging Neeld as well for the players recruited. At least supporters are ringing to disagree.
