  1. All those still at the club who were involved in this (these) meetings must leave the club very soon. We will need some elections very soon.
  2. we will not be the only club in trouble. We may be the first, but this stuff will grow even in the next few days. Bank on it.
  3. this is what worries me. A chance to clear the room was missed. A strategy was undertaken in probably good faith, but it failed horribly & when that happens massive change is needed. Maybe it didn't happen because of Jimmy's health. But i do know other clubs were not happy about what was happening. Jeff Kennett for one, who loved Jimmy was adamant the AFL went light on the MFC whilst he was ill.
  4. he was asked a question as i recall. If he had said nothing it still would have looked dodgy. I actually have some sympathy for Dean, but i know not everyone will feel that way. Others should have walked on the same day imo.
  5. Bailey isn't a dog. He was told how to coach by the same people who paid him. The blame goes higher...
  6. absolutely Mr. Leg. The AFL are wide open on this if it goes to a court of law...
  7. trouble is though that the AFL did not put this to bed when Dean was sacked. It has continued to fester in the background....
  8. absolutely. It is now or never. The black cloud has not lifted yet. We supporters deserve better.
  9. i know. It is beyond belief. If true the board & Schwab must pack up & go. If true that is. The club has to give a statement after this allegation.
  10. It is now time for any persons within the club who were involved or agreed to the strategy of "Tanking" to quietly leave the building. I do not discriminate as to who you are. But if pick 4 is swiped from our possession then your position can no longer exist. IF we lose pick 4 will the club have the balls to fight to the death? "This is it folks...over the top"
  11. what are you talking about?Meetings took place.....upstairs, not on the ground. It did happen. Dean said so after 186. On camera.
  12. bailey's last words at his press conference confirmed to me regular meetings had taken place. The reason i have used the word strategy on this thread. I do not blame Dean. That same strategy cost him his job. But anyone else still at the club who was part of those meetings or knew of there content is on very shaky ground imo.
  13. we did Tank rp. And no the players were not the culprits. Sadly the MFC is not squeaky clean on this one...it is going to be a rough old summer. Idiot Anderson should have gone full tilt at this the day Bailey spoke down the camera, now it is going to drag on.
  14. no Nut, this has little to do with the players per se. This is all to do with the round table discussions between coaches during the week. The players may get wind of it, but i would be horrified if it was direct conversations. At Carlscum it may be different. Could it be that Schwab stuck his head in on these meetings and did not loke what he heard or saw? Just a thought.
  15. why are you removing coaches instructions? They are always present.
  16. no it is not good at all, but i am not suprised. It was a 2 year strategy because that was how the priority pick was given out. Now the shi!t is being thrown. How much will stick?
  17. stop there my friend. What you have said above is the very essence of Tanking & what the club did. With a very clear vision. I have never believed players are involved in tanking. That could be life threatening to not be switched on 100%. "But too lesson the likelihood of winning" is absolutely Tanking in a nutshell
  18. don't twist my words rp. The AFL could well punish us very severly. But whether that punishment stands up in a court of law is another matter. 2 different paths.
  19. Brad Miller playing in the midfield comes to mind. That was a ripper. I wish i had a copy of the SEN call of the Richmond game. It was quite amazing. K.B. was speechless as he finally realized Tanking was actually an issue. Now rp you may not agree with my arguements here, but when the coach of the day looks down the barrel of a camera and says it happened (in a diplomatic way) Please do not tell me strategies were not put in place to give the club the best chance to win no more than 4 games in each of 2008-09 seasons, thus gaining priority picks.
  20. yes agreed. But the AFL is often very illogical as it must also protect its broadcast deals and betting agency contracts. It walks a mighty fine line.
  21. i would have agreed a couple of months ago. But this has dragged on way too long. Something has got to give. I would hope the MFC are going into battle with top brass silks. Otherwise our survival could be in jeopardy. Losing draft picks will be a bullet to the heart.
  22. hahaha!! Stop talking to yourself rp?"Nothing to see here, you can all go home"
  23. what am i confused about Stuie??One is the AFL the other is a court of law. Both are very different.
