  1. Healey will be delisted and may not even get a game for Casey.

    Tapscott did look to have a sore shoulder, came off for a bit. Looks like a tough bugger.

    The forward line of Hughes Miller and Maric will go a long way to helping the scorps go deep. They were great on the weekend.

  2. out moloney and jones

    both overrated and go missin too often for senior players

    im over them and wouldnt get games in top sides

    warnock is a worry

    First game back and moloney had 27 touches.

    Watts and Bennel should go first, tired of these guys getting an easy run at it. Bate and Hughes were both in the best for casey, although Hughes is just back from a long lay off. So maybe Miller. I was at Casey and Tapscott is still not quite ready. Maric is put of by physical contact and shirks it to much.

    Bennel is woeful at the moment and Watts is providing little.

  3. Um fail...they are in A grade amateurs. Hardly 'soft' footy. do I detect a hint of jealousy or did one of their players beat you up or something?

    They will be B grade next year! When we play them and have beaten them the last 4 or 5 times we always know they don't like hard tough footy, maybe thats why we are in the top 2!

  4. I think most will depend on each other, in this I mean if we keep Paul Johnson then Spencer should not be elevated. I think he shouldn't as he is no good and never will be!

    If we delist Miller and say Bate goes and even Martin then we should look at Promoting Hughes. He was good when he got a go!

    As our Ruck and forward stocks are the issue it would seem Bell and Mcnamara could be in real trouble.

    With the gold Coast coming in this year it gives a lot of fringe and young players a good opportunity to go somewhere to prove themselves like Mcnamara and Hughes.

  5. Well no. Of course not. That's the point. He was number one for a reason.

    Regardless, his progress has been steady. He would have impressed more yesterday if he had been a little more selfish but his tendency to look to give off the ball in the first quarter cost him (and us) an early goal.

    But he has already shown he knows:

    #how to find the ball in a contest and give off with quick, accurate hands;

    #how to take a contested mark;

    #how to run ahead of the play to take an uncontested mark in the forward 5o;

    #how to kick steadying goals when they count.

    That's enough in 15 or so games, I reckon.

    (As for Maric, I've yet to see anything.)

    Kicks steadying goals when they count????? When has this happened?

    He missed an easy shot against Freo to put us in front. Put one out on the full on the 3qtr time siren in the same game. Missed a shot on the run against essendon at a crucial stage, only to be given a second chance when he took a soft dive!

    If Watts wasn't a number one pick he would have played most games at Casey like Maric. But there is a reason he went number 1.... He has a hell of a lot of talent!

  6. INteresting that two of our 'private school' recruits lack intensity - Strauss and Watts. Its a pet theory of mine.... Particularly when compared to a Dustin Martin type who plays as if his life depends on it (It probably does)

    I agree where Watts is concerned being a Brighton Grammar boy. The school is known for it's softness. Playing them in Amo's it's well known they are soft. But I think he should be judged after 3 or 4 preseasons with more bulk. It is taking time for him to adjust which is why i think he should be playing at Casey. He has the right tools to become a good player, he just needs to cope with pressure better which comes with experience.

    Not sure about strauss. Has had injuries but may miss out on a spot in Casey's finals team (if its still the 12-10 rule! but again another preseason and we will know more!

  7. He has done it after every loss this year. THey still think they are the best club going around. Too many arrogant wankers that need to be brought down! Hope we smash them!

  8. The thing about the two goal umpires is that the goal umpire in the pies v cats game was in the perfect position same with the boundary umpire. I am still confused on how he thought it wasn't a goal. Quartermain is right he should never goal umpire again!

    On our ones against the bulldogs that was overturned because the dogs player where carrying on, last night the pies just played on and got away with it!

  9. Yeah was a melee. Started with rioli and a port player behind play. Then turned into about 20 players. Rioli continued to wrestle and prob through another two clear punches. Should be sidelined for the remainder of the home and away season. Not really sure what set him off because he was going mental. Few other players will be looked at from both sides which is good for us.

  10. Not this again?! FCS.

    If Brad Miller can tackle Matty Whelan at OO against Carlton, we can have a clash strip. It looks fine.

    And the MFC at one point was called 'the Invincible Whites' early in our storied history, WYL. So stop being so excitable.

    Move on, nuff-nuffs.

    I know that hurt but it's a nuff-nuff/Hun/fork-and-spoon issue and we are above that.

    Well said. Can't believe i read these people talk about this issue for so long. I must be bored!
