Seriously some people must not understand the game of football. Tapscott was very good, he kept Lindsay Thomas very quiet. Thomas tried to drag Tapscott back to the goal square and beat him on the lead and stop Tappy running off and using his booming kick. Tapscott won that duel I would think keeping thomas quiet.

Tapscott was great on Lindsay Thomas. Very underrated performance. I also thoughts Watts was very good down back, I'd love to see him play down there for a bit. Isn't a key forward at this stage. Mike Sheahan also mention on the couch and they all agreed he looked better.

I think it also has to be looked at the different sort of style of football used in VFL. VFL is very congested, more scrappy kind of games. This can hamper players like Morton, Watts and even Blease where as guys like Valenti for instance can dominate. I spoke to former rookie Danny Hughes the other day. he is playing in the WAFL and has said the openess and space in the WAFL is so different to the VFL and believed it would help a lot the guys that play for FREO and West Coast. This is where Morton showed his class over there. Having said that Casey is one of the better grounds going around, well was when I was there last which was a few years ago.

Really just more excuses. We have a younger list we have less games blah blah. It doesn;t mean we should give up on games. Have our captain walk around and have no impact on the game. This stats didn't matter that we got 6 goals up and is not the reason we got smashed from qtr time. They are excuses, just like losing the two players. Good sides like Hawthorn thrive on it, there first gamer came on and made a valuable impact.

Take into account Hawthorn's effort yesterday...2 on the Bench by early second Quarter....They Totally smashed the St.kilda carcass with a bunch of kids playing....The Attitude of Hawthorn is to "NOT LOSE" same with Essendon...When these clubs dip, the problem is found and fixed. Period.

I would drop Brad Green to Casey next week....That might fix up a problem pretty quick.

I agree, as soon as Hawthron lost those two players I knew they were going to win. We went to butter and it all looked to hard where as they thrived on it, there captain Hodge ran harder and wanted to impact the game. I'm afraid when it comes to Green it got a bit to hard. Had to get the ball himself.

I feel better reading this. I for one noticed Davey and Green on Saturday not running hard enough the 'other' way. The fact that people thought I was harsh and have bookmarked my posts should also realise that many nuetrals feel the same way.

Davey can't play half back as he gets smashed the other way. Green just jogged around most of the game without an opponent.

Moloney copped a massive tag and was heavily stopped by North at the stoppages and still tried his guts out. If this happened to Davey he would have said this is to hard and sulk it, examples Brisbane game with Raines.

It's so different than bagging their employers. They are not saying it about the MFC. Not sure how people think this is the same if they were to do it.

Ricky should've stuck it up the AFL and claimed he was talking bout something else, how could they prove it was about Trengove!

I agree with making Cale really earn his spot, he has the talent to be anything. But the only thing I'm curious about is this is what I think should've happened with Watts. Everyone keeps saying he needs gametime and will be better for it. Why not with Morton?

Jamar Moloney AND Sylvia are playing consistent football. Colin is in the top three in the bluey at the moment.

But I agree with what you are saying. Moloney should have been captain and is showing real leadership, Sylvia tries to but isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. Green has proven to be a shocking choice as captain. Not sure how Davey ever thought he would be captain, goes missing under the pump and the way he sulks when tagged is horrible!

I'm glad someone brought up the hawks. Shows there winning, never give in culture compared to ours. They lost two key big men and looked as though they would thrive on it. They had there number 3 ruckman rucking for most of the day and still managed to win. THey don't use excuses just love the challange. There captain stood up when counted.

I thought Jack was very good yesterday. I liked moving him in defence too. I know some didn't but it freed him up and he took some good marks. A horrible day for the club I thought jack was a shinning light. I have been very critical of the young man but he is starting to come along. He is a different player to Darling and will be better.

Can't see how he will be coaching us next year.

Batram was on Harvey I thought. He was ok yesterday, provided some run. He is always accountable which I like. Davey was the one taught a lesson!

Wona out, straight to fat camp! Is also no good under pressure. Missed those goals yesterday that killed us. Maric is a much better option as a small forward.

Nah issue is soft leaders like Green and Davey. As the guys pointed out of the Sunday Footy show and even Chippa on Triple M they don't work hard enough when there not getting a easy kick. Not sure how on earth we gave Green the captaincy.

Maybe a little jab to the stomach of a north player. Nothing much to worry about. Although i said that about Trengove.

Dunn will be in trouble. Although Pratt was fine so we should argue that.

Bail is immensely underrated outside the MFC, I feel. He is a superb tagger and run-with player. Will be sorely missed as he plays his role each and every week.

Our backline is becoming more and more depleted with Rivers, Garland and Grimes all out injured. Hopefully Riv can make his return next week.

Seems the MAXIMUM length on our injury list is 4-6 weeks, so after our month of playing the Top 4 teams, we should have most guys back (perhaps apart from Bail). Pending no further injuries, of course...

Be prepared for a very disappointing next month, peeps...

Injuries also won't help Bailey's coaching cause... looks ugly.

Bail will be missed. He is one a few that work hard both ways! Runs hard and uses it ok as well.

Davey and Greens heart went missing. Will talk crap this week and pull up fine next week. Will go missing when it gets hard again!

Davey was horrible. Two massive turnovers that cost important goals. Picks up easy kicks and is to soft and never works hard enough. Will sulk it when tagged. His man who I don't even know his name smashed him because Davey would never man up!

Davey and Green are out biggest downhill skiers. These two do not play consistent enough footy to lead us to a top four team. Every one points the finger to Moloney and Sylvia, these two are prob top two in the bluey at the moment. Moloney was heavily tagged and stopped at the clearances, he still managed five and he doesn't get the cheap stats al la davey. Sylvia is our best player at the moment. Green it's all to hard for him. He's not a leader he doesn't work hard enough at all when we don't have it. Doesn't want to have an influence. Shouldn't be captain much longer. Davey I have never seen someone work so hard to get the easy ball but then always look so puffed out when he has to work hard the other way.

How is Wona still getting a game? Missed crucial shots at goal, is fat lazy and slow. GEt him out!

Green is really not giving enough, as well as Davey these guys will struggle when trengove, grimes and scully are hitting there straps. Normal whipping boys Jones and Moloney have showed people there are in our best group of players.

Very harsh on Watts thought he was good. One of his better games. Green was terrible, pretty much on his own all day and did little. Can't work out why he is captain.

Jones was our best. Jones soft? Try bennell davey these guys are soft. Wona is fat and slow and not sure why he is in the team. Maric our best small forward. Dunn horrible. Davey turned it over far more than Jones, his horrible kicks across goal. The guy is a down hill skier!
