US Masters
The monkey is off the back. Floodgates might open at last. Jason Day will win one. Great putting late for Scott on the 18th and the third playoff hole.

Agree on Silk, Nasher - a great start. PS. All the Best XI's are complete if you want to take a look, they're all keenly awaiting the judge's assessment. Oh, and go the Black Caps! Great batting by Fulton.

Play straight for a start! Maxwell outsmarting himself to a regulation off spinner - played all round it being cute. Whilst its difficult batting, keeping it simple might pay dividends, anything risky could see you heading to the pavilion before you can say "maybe I shouldn't have played inside the line"...

Lyon career best 7/94 off 23 overs and he will be on a hat trick for the 2nd innings. India's lead just 10 runs on first innings. Hopefully the Aussies can dig deep in the second innings and salvage something from the series by preventing India taking a 4-0 clean sweep.

Mate, if a banana smoothie won't do the trick, how about a bear hug, to snap you out of this trance? Fwiw, I've always had trouble with the odd sticker. Our harsh summer always takes it's toll on stickers on window(s). If you have them on for more than 3-4 months they get baked on, or they de-laminate.

Has there ever been a loss in a Test Match where the first day is lost due to rain, we've put on over 400 in the first dig, and lost it inside 4 days? Agree with Titan. After day 2 the squad and contingent most likely thought blue skies had finally arrived.... Cricket can be a funny and and also unforgiving game.

Just as you posted that I heard Border talk about Clarke's back. Funny that. That explains it then. Clarke will probably be raring to go tomorrow after the masseuse gives him a rub & tickle. Siddle's 5-for - great effort. Lyon keeping the spinners out and doing his job as night watchman. A lengthy stint, but he's done his job for the skipper.

Phil Hughes has taken a few risks this innings and living dangerously scoring over a run a ball. Using his feet to the spinners but he's rolled the dice slashing a few times and lucky to have had leading edges fall out of reach of fieldsmen. Edit: On a separate note, Ashwin now generating a lot of turn. #rightangles

Over 7 overs left or over 30 mins of play still to come and Lyon comes in at 5 as night watchman. India won't mind that at all...jeebus

Fair enough I suppose re: their forte. I think they both were well respected by their players. 0/109 at Lunch AUSvIND. Good solid start by the opening batsmen in Mohali. Clarke won toss (batted). VICS v TAS - TAS 6/369, VICS are 4/208. Tassie in a strong position. VICS after 1st innings points.

Yep. Wasn't Watson & Siddle the two who stayed with Hussey in the changerooms? Anyway....clearly from Pat Howard's perspective the Captain/Vice Captain relationship isn't plain sailing. And clearly there is a lack of team harmony within the squad, hence a lack of spirit. It's not good, whichever way you cut it. Perhaps there is a common theme here. Clarke is a wonderful player and tactician IMO. A wonderful leader on the field. But from the reports of journalists on tour etc, there is a bit of work to be done off the field as well as on. If they want a professionally run outfit and this is line in the sand stuff to prevent the short cuts and "attitude/back chat problems", so be it. I'm hopeful that Clarke can be as good a leader off the field in the changerooms like his predecessors in Taylor, Waugh, Ponting where they were inclusive of all. The Australian cricket team has traditionally been a team that plays hard and celebrates hard appropriately behind closed doors. Let's hope that continues in a professional manner.

Found it. I had searched on his Twitter, but he seems to have been taken down now. It was published in todays paper by Jon Anderson, (having recalled reading it), it says...: ....former England captain Alec Stewart took to Twitter yesterday to twist the knife. Stewart went with: "They've got Xavier Doherty, or whatever you call him.... (and) that Afghanistan bloke they're trying to give a passport to" (Fawad Ahmed- from Pakistan).
