  3. big footy would be in more trouble than us. they even have a rumours sub board which gets quite libellous and seems unmoderated
  4. that's the blackest navy blue i've ever seen (assuming the colour is accurate on the mfc merchandise page)
  5. at the moment in western countries it is a bit of a free for all. there is uncertainty as far as the law goes. in the future the internet will be even more king of communications than it is now. fta and satellite tv will be virtually dead, as will printed media. it will all (mostly) be moved to the lawless (currently) internet. There must be huge legislative changes globally coming. What they will be who knows, and it will be a moving target for some time. moderate or draconian, is anyone's guess, but it's definitely going to happen.
  6. but arguably they haven't been expeditious or coopertive on many occasions and have been difficult on issues of disclosure. Where they have complied it has been more through overt pressure and threats than any particular legal regulation. I'm not saying they should be instantly liable for any 3rd party content but their needs to be more legally binding regulations to spell out their responsibilities and liabilities when certain content is published on their sites
  7. no, it's 15% of his yearly contract, each year for 2 years
  8. not so simple, ethan. torrent sites were 3rd party too and have been held to account. third party sites still have a duty of moderation and governance especially when run as profit centres. fb have had issues of failure to moderate and refusal to disclose to authorities. it's inevitable (even if impractical and difficult) that there will be more legislation globally to increase regulation of the internet
  9. wunderbar! a victory for the great unwashed

  14. in my mind i have jack classified as indefinite. i get the impression his ailment hasn't followed expectations and nobody really knows i'm not saying long term, just indeterminate. could be round 4, round 14 or ...........
  15. possible ethan, but cats would be silly to play 2 players returning after hamstring niggles at the same time. so i'm counting on at least one of them not playing but not sure which one
  16. when i read your op i thought goody had specifically denied a hotspot, but that was not the case. of course i hope it's just a niggly sore toe and he is fit to go for round1. plus i am always wary when sen claim any sort of "scoop"
  17. let's hope so
  18. unless i missed something (entirely possible) i didn't see any denial of a hotspot by goody or even any mention of one did say a sore toe for 4 weeks
  19. it was a reference to those crusaders whose zeal could be described as tending to religious it wasn't a reference to all

  22. after sen has bombed in the ratings it seems they think they can claw back some ratings with click-bait headlines i take sen headlines with a grain of salt
