  1. and ticketek have form, gcd problem is there is really only a choice of 2 ticket agencies for large events and both are lacking
  2. maybe, tux. i've heard good and bad stories about agile methodology, but like most methodologies it probably boils down to the key individuals driving it........but i take your point
  3. there are no public sales on either. they were supposed to start at 1pm. no comment yet on when club member sales will recommence or when public sales will commence. out of control the other annoying issue is that when you do get in you are subject to a countdown timeout and whilst searching every location for ticket availability you inevitably timeout. Then when (if) you get back on you have to repeat all the input boxes. surely you should be able to log on a few days earlier and do a pro-forma application. i.e. get all your details in (members barcode, credit card details, ticket number/type requirements, a list of ticket preferences by location/category and other miscellaneous details) which are then saved for you. Then when the allocated time comes, simply login, retrieve saved data and it presents you with a list of available (really available) seats by your ticket preferences then you just click on the one that suits you. all done. this reduces the countdown timer problem, reduces data errors and clears the waiting queues for those not logged in i really worry about the quality of it systems analysis these days. too much emphasis on fancy graphics and marketing, too little on system efficiency
  4. Titus O'Reily‏ @TitusOReily 2h2 hours ago More AFL assures fans that all corporates and sponsors have secured finals tickets.
  5. life was better when we didn't make finals before the suspension i finally got on, found some tickets, got payment details, seemed to accept then it said no confirmation available then timed me out. later checked order details, nothing there. back in the queue, waited through suspension, finally back on, couldn't find a cat 2 or 3 or 4 ticket (didn't check nose bleed level). I can't believe that, but that's what happened i've given up after 3 1/2 frustrating hours. the afl and ticketek can stick their finals up their collective a...holes dumbest online system in the universe
  6. looks like the afl will be missing my $$$s i'll be watching on tv if something doesn't happen soon. pity about grandson
  7. still waiting in queue thank god this mob don't run ebay
  8. ?? no idea what you are getting at d_l i said he spoke well because he did. handled himself impressively and confidently.
  9. and he also speaks well. ...see video interview after game on mfc web site.
  10. not hard bub, when it's after the event. gotta love hindsight
  11. and there is the problem.......they will steal points off each other cripps must be looking good though with only 2 wins this will count against as winning teams naturally score the top votes
  12. more like zombies from the village of the dead
  13. i've always thought harmsey had the right foundations - effort, toughness and attitude - just needed more poise and clean up a few minor skill areas which would come with more games, but i must say his improvement in the second half of this season has exceeded my expectations/hopes he's now an A grader (if he keeps it up and there is no reason he shouldn't)
  14. tmac should have made squad of 40. still played 17 games and his goal average was about the same as riewoldts ended up with 48 goals and tons of score assists and involvements demons weren't the highest point scoring club in the comp for nothing and deserved a fwd in the squad
  15. just got email from club with barcode is it worth going to ticketek outlet or should online be ok on tues morning?
  16. I took your advice on the chicken entrails, uncle bitters, but it seems i slightly overdid it......wgaf eh
  17. between your nether regions and my waters, uncle, i see a decisive victory but just to be sure i shall slaughter a pig offering before i take off for the game
  18. this year we have played better on the road. plus our mcg record is weak this year. so, shitney it is
  19. it's even worse now, moonie, the losing club gets an afl compensation pick which is really a pick "paid" by all the other clubs as they all effectively get pushed down the draft list. the afl needs to provide some "penalty" to the receiving club (if a top 8 club) in either a loss of draft points (a'la father son, academy) or a reduction in salary cap. It is too much of a golden egg to the top clubs
  20. ummmm, ethan, the world is already spinning on it axis. that's why it's called an axis
