daisycutter replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'd like to see BBB have a big uninterrupted preseason and fully fit could get back to a 60 goal season -

extremism and violence is not to be tolerated.......whether it is nominally "left" or "right" wing........and there are plenty of examples of both. neither should the actions of extremist minorities detract from the majority of lawful and peaceful demonstrators whether you agree or disagree with their protest. they should be kept separate.

yeah, agree. should have been standard trident. text should have been " #13 2021 " in appropriate font

no, more a question of an option nobody had mentioned

either that, or the club had someone else already in mind for the role, and had a little chat with him?

i don't see a lot wrong with that, colin i think what got my whole dander up about the whole tanking issue was the scapegoating aspect of it and the media's cherry picking of a practice which the afl had effectively encouraged and failed to police. It was a very unbalanced handling of a situation brought on by a few public remarks. It should have been an opportunity if any for a comprehensive investigation across the whole league over a period of time. Instead they took the easy option by scapegoating a single non-powerful club and the media failing in its unwillingness to even discuss other transgressors but relishing in the "good press" of the sacrificial lamb. it still grates........and i still don't like brock for a number of reason

" had my own piece of memorabilia painted by an artist we know and wanted to know what you guys thought? See if you notice the issue that is being fixed?" the gap between 1964 and 2021 is too small? 😄

yeah, i just realised my memory of dvds is so very rusty, Haven't had one for more than 10 years and yeah most were 576i which is SD, though they did do some at 720 (heavily compressed) according to google so it is possible.....but certainly not 1080i or p

same with Melbourne Storm's Nelson Asofa Salomona https://www.sportingnews.com/au/league/news/nelson-asofa-solomona-nrl-2021-melbourne-storm-vaccine-stance-rugby-league-covid19-instagram/1ilii0aydj9u3174mgfc0bu7bi

what do you mean by high definition? The dvd should be 1080 which is hi-def, The blue-ray would probably just be 4k upscaled from 1080 as I don't think there would be 4K cameras at the ground. EDITED: correction DVD best format would be 720HD and heavily compressed. It could also be less than that. I think the cameras at the ground would be 1080HD so the 4K blue-ray would still be upscaled from 1080 but the quality would still be much greater than the DVD

was told on the phone when renewing that you can request a physical card (with a player's name on it). I did. don't know about the online or auto-renew options
-
that's what they told me on the phone. it was only kept available the last few years for existing members and not advertised on the web page for memberships. given our current premiership window i wasn't too fussed.
