  1. what can I say? I only got a 143 in an IQ test 45 years ago. Don't think I cheated either, but can't remember. agree, impressive
  2. ouch, you win the cigar!
  3. Thats fine, but why not PLG instead of plg, there should be no confusion then. Its up to you of course, but left unchanged I'm (and others probably) always going to "see"/remember pig, because after all I'm (we're) only human
  4. I must confess I read it as pig (little i). I run my screen at quite a high resolution (hence smaller font size), plus my eyesight aint what it was so from where i sat the l looked like an i especially in the font style the poster was using. Sometimes the brain reinterprets what one sees to fit what seems most likely. Anyway a harmless misunderstanding, and it just wasn't one poster who misunderstood. Its easy enough to change you nickname (maybe all caps) cos I'm sure other posters in the future will make the same misunderstanding
  5. and very well spoken, Little Goffy
  6. make that 1 point down with 5+ mins to go
  7. whats your reply got to do with my comment? it was about Caro's source - whether it was corroborative or was she just surfing 'land. it wasn't about Hannibal. I also previously asked Hannibal whether his comments about "drinking culture" were MFC specific or just footy clubs in general on end of season trips, but I didn't get an answer. I'm not so much interested on why Scully went home but rather whether the MFC does have a drinking culture (out of proportion to the AFL norm). If so then that is a big issue.
  8. or maybe she just read demonland and has no other "sources"???
  9. Apparently the Bye team are threatening to have a st-down boycott unless the AFL agree to award 4 points to the winning side Stay tuned
  10. all the past way back to 1965 I am definitely trying NOT to remember
  11. RPFC, I hope you are not going to make a habit of digging up dead threads, very passe I'll excuse this one resurrection as it is Easter after all
  12. Only missing the violins in the background...............
  13. or your obsession and pseudo-intellectual outrage? Try smelling the roses sometime even though its hard living in Canberra and I'm an atheist but I don't necessarily spend my time looking for things to whinge about
  14. no thanks going to a couple of basketball games really put me off - far too contrived if its exciting you pick it up from the crowd anyway if its not exciting, any contrivance just makes it worse the darts video was really funny, but its just a typical hilarious pommy pizztake situation
  15. MFC Brains Trust, is that an oxymoron like Army Intelligence? edit sp
  16. Big decision making year this for the club. Bailey out of contract at year end. Flag push at crossroads. Does he have the where-withall for the post-build/develop cycle in the flag push He may have been the man for the first stage but is he the man for the next stage(s) I don't know, but I've got to admit I'm somewhat skeptical and far from convinced at this stage. However in all fairness we should hold off jumping the gun (re Bailey) until closer to season end And of course there is the rest of the FD, how are they travelling? Do the need replacing? Do they need supplementing etc etc.
  17. you'll have to provide a bigger picture WYL - eyesight not what it was
  18. a futile speculation, waste of thread space more MFCFS
  19. Nothing wrong with the car WYL, it's the good-time, band-waggon, hangers-on that give me the pip; Somehow if they just buy a Ferrari flag, pit-style tracksuit and such paraphenalia they think they are special
  20. was making the point that maybe "band-waggon" was not the best analogy being dee's supporters on this forun I dont think there are too many band-waggoners here
  21. in that case you'd be a Collingwood, Manchester United, Ferrari fan, eh?
  22. not taking sides here, but Frawley had a very below par game against GC when he should have had a cracker given the opposition. and Morton was just so-so really
  23. I agree time will tell and I would have thought being in his 7th year it had already told
  24. you know he wasn't, but was surprisingly (to most punters) re listed on rookie list this year the point is - you were using facile logic implying the fd don't make judgement mistakes, when in fact they make plenty every year, just as every other club's fd do, so saying the fd has confidence in player X is like a gain of salt to me
