Inclined to agreee, patience is the key. For mine only a lack of fitness will stop him being a good league footballer.

Fill me in on the other 4 and a half minutes please

Will continue to delete posts that offer nothing, let's discuss the MFC shall we and not let the discussions veer off into useless rants and trading of insults. Having missed the interview..is there anything else that CS had to say. Surely it wasn't all about Tom Scully.

He has been terrific on every level A great man to have at the club and as you say ultra-professional. There have been some messy administrations recently, think Hawthorn, Port Adelaide, Brisbane. We are lucky to have te current coach and admin staff presenting a united front and working to the same plan. We are also lucky that this team headed by the great man has been able to sell the plan of the slow build to the supporters and members.

Good post. Leave the kid alone, let those in the know do their job and stop wetting your pants. -

Absolutely agree. It is likely that we won't know anything concrete for some time. -

Yes as I would expect, a personal insult in lieu of any real content. I know that you won't engage me in a real adult argument, have seen it before. I am thankful that you are as you say that you are in the 0.01%, I am sure that the club would feel much the same. I am grateful that the majority of supporters of our great club are able to wait the reporting of the "facts" and not submit to fear as you have done. -

Personally I felt your frightened rants and criticism of other posters who failed to see the "facts" according to your deluded and twisted form of logic were far more destructive than productive. But that's just me. -

Are you going to claim credit if Scully re-signs? -
Grimes had a good game, his apparent poor decision making/disposal was due mostly to a lack of clear options available coming out. Mostly due to the high work-rate and desperation of the Bombers.
-
He appeared to be one of a number of senior players going through the motions last night. Reading very little into his performance.

Shortly after Aussie was drafted I remember reading an article about Maurice Rioli. I have searched everywhere for the article but can't find it. The article was talking about the Rioli clan and how there was a player that was recently drafted that had a close connection to Maurice that wasn't Cyril. The article went on to say that the player was a half brother to Maurice and that the club knew of the connection but was trying to keep it quiet. Maurice was quoted talking about how the player had many of the Rioli family traits but the player wasn't named. I did a bit of investigation and came to my own conclusions.

Great article, and this very interesting tidbit. "Liam has had his situation, but Aussie had just as big a trauma to deal with," says Flack. "And then Aussie had Maurice's [Rioli's] funeral as well. He's Maurice's brother." I have suspected this for a while but the club wanted to keep it quiet, obviously with the passing of the great man things have changed.

Fortunately I think most Demonlanders have a reasonable grasp on what is going on. This gives me heart after I read ADC's panic stricken rants, and name calling of anyone who isn't as fearful as he is. Fortunately all of the major players on our side have a greater grasp on reality and what is needed to be done. It takes gumption not to fear the weight of expectation. It takes real courage to embrace it. I wonder if there is a loser mentality at play here, where excuses for failure are put in place before the actual contest occurs. And ADC will not address this post properly, he will continue with his tactic of attempting to have us all hiding in the corner wetting our pants, waiting to lose this great young player, waiting to the AFL to set us up for failure so then when the inevitable failure occurs it will come as no surprise. I find solace in the fact that most people reject this notion and the there is a shift in the psyche of this great club.

He is an anonymous user of this forum as am I and most others.

Things are starting to get a little bit ridiculous around here.
-
Still you fail to engage me or answer the question? These meaningless rants do nothing positive for this discussion and certainly do nothing for the Melbourne Football Club. So who are the Ostriches?
-
Confused. Are the ostriches the ones who fail to acknowledge the official line taken by his management, or the ones who fail to take heed of un-named sources from journos. I have tried so hard not to post in this thread, but I have had enough. So engage me if you want....or not?
-
Why?
-
No There are shades of grey my learned friend. Read the post again. The intent of the AFL is not to weaken the MFC but to justify its policy in regard to the GWS. It's all about intent. The AFL has and will step on anyone/anything to forward it's regime.
-
It has been said that players that 25% is an indication of the overs that needs to be paid to pry a player from a club.
-
Yes. The AFL has nothing to gain by laying the boots into the Melbourne Football Club at this time. A strengthening club with a long history headed up by one of the most loved people in the game. A strong MFC only strengthens the AFL. I see it more as a defence of the of the GWS concept and its implementation rather than an attack on the MFC. Stepping on the MFC is merely reckless collateral damage in its defence of the GWS implementation.

How about the ones who create self serving, simplistic, stereotypes? I think it is time you got a grip of reality. The reality is you don't know the answers, and you have no control over the outcome.
