  1. Dude, read my original post again slowly or ask someone to explain it to you. Humour is unrecognisable to the witless.
  2. If you decriminalise everything you could wipe out crime overnight.
  3. 2 points. -Free agency is actually proving to be very good for us thus far, as has the Scully defection. The existence of GWS has been handy having now traded for 2 home goers. -Demonlanders are much less gun shy about the draft. We need to keep doing what we are doing with astute, well informed people driving the recruiting and list management.
  4. Fair enough, humble pie served and consumed. Apologies Mr Deeko.
  5. Home to the surfcoast, fairly confident that he will be residing there. As for footy I don't know.
  6. My news is that Paddy is coming home. What have you heard M?
  7. I keep seeing this and I understand the sentiment. I am not usually one that suffers from premature elation. I don't want to get carried away either but there are good reasons why last week's win could be more significant than your usual four points. On the forum somewhere someone mentioned that breakout games don't exist. Well they do, for individuals and for clubs. When Roos was first appointed I believed that halfway through the second season we would start to see more, more than just foundations being laid, more than effort, more than glimpses of a plan. I expect to see some tangible results in the second half of the year and have some MFC players recognised for their efforts.
  8. The list is certainly better and having been appalling for the best part of a decade I understand the hyperbole. On Roos and Neeld, both tried to alleviate the lack of experience at the club, both tried to have us play a more honest brand of footy based on a culture of ownership and accountability. One was able to execute the plan better and command more respect and compliance.
  9. Found it fantastic. Bought stuff for the whole family. Thanks New Balance! Crap OP, you might be frustrated but teeing off at the club for that is crazy.
  10. I agree with this, the way the game was played makes me believe that it can be sustained. i felt that after the first quarter. The improvement is tangible, and it stems from a hard arsed midfield GROUP.
  11. Brayshaw is a player along with Hogan that a dynasty could be built on. I am as excited as I have been about the club as I have been. At quarter time yesterday we were winning the contests and it felt sustainable. A successful gameplan can only be built around a contested game, we have the players that can win that game now. It seems logical that we can improve pretty quickly.
  12. Midfield of Gawn, Vince, Jones, Viney, Brayshaw looks capable of winning a lot of footy against most opposition. We have a contested game that we can build a plan around.
  13. Forget that.. Looks dangerous and 2 almost grabs resulted in goals. One crumb and another in a push to Anb
  14. I think Jimmy is coming along nicely, he is making progress. His game is tracking on the right trajectory. Toumpas will be a good footballer. Given some more time he will be able to sum up a attacking target quickly and hit it instantly more often. You can see this opening up avenues of attack last weekend.
  15. I see what he is trying to do. Our side has allowed opponents to dicate terms and we need players who have strong attacking instincts like Jones, Brayshaw, Lumumba. But you gotta know when to hold em, know when to fold em, know when to walk away, know when to run.
  16. He was outnumbered or in the wrong position in nearly every marking attempt. Couldn't decide how much of this was was due to Hogan, his opponent or the ball being delivered to the wrong spot. Good chance it was a combination.
  17. Not true Was a satirical story VB tastes like Cats..
  18. Actually this is a great thread, and the last few pages have had people learning, examining and re-examining views, which have been articulated pretty respectfully.
  19. Chris Rock "The whole country’s got a f..d up mentality. We all got a gang mentality. Republicans are f...ing idiots. Democrats are f...ing idiots. Conservatives are idiots and liberals are idiots. Anyone who makes up their mind before they hear the issue is a f...ing fool. Everybody, nah, nah, nah, everybody is so busy wanting to be down with a gang! I’m a conservative! I’m a liberal! I’m a conservative! It’s [censored]! Be a f...ing person. Listen. Let it swirl around your head. Then form your opinion. No normal decent person is one thing. OK!?! I got some [censored] I’m conservative about, I got some [censored] I’m liberal about."
  20. Having actually cared for Aboriginal children as a foster carer this is still true today. No doubt there were children removed cruelly and unjustly in the past. There are a number of children that remain in horrendous situations because of over-sensitivity by government departments to the "stolen generation" and fears of being labelled racist being put in front of the welfare of children. But then the sad plight of many indigenous kids in this country is symptomatic of a much bigger issue. Whether you like him or not, Goodes has refused to be a victim, and if that catches on then he is a positive influence for Aboriginal people.
  21. How did you celebrate your goals at Afl level?
