  1. Watching the two games, thee crows/freo game did not seem as intense as ours. Far less pressure, but the. crows setup around the ball really well.
  2. Gee Cameron doesn't look interested or switched on. Wondering around on the mark giving away 50.
  3. AFLW umpires is the their down from AFL but above league level for umpires (these are the one's coming through the system into the afl in the future). I have a feeling they umpire it differently due to the skill of the girls competition. Many things that would be are int he AFL are not paid in the AFLW, which makes it frustrating to watch. It like they give them more time due to different skill levels. Not that they should.
  4. Good luck to Weid... Maybe notching in from massive VFL form (like last year) will take pressure off him to kick a bag. Hopefully they kick footy's at home non-stop at training to soften those hands. As for bloody bomber supporters, they are pretty much all [censored], coaching at juniors preseason last week. A yr9 (About 14/15) says dees are crap (Wearing my members cap) and tells me how they have won 16 flags... So they got to do sprints for every flag they won. :)
  5. Is a good player and would be better if he could settle in 1 position/role only as this year is showing. The only issue is he looks like a ken doll. It is all I see whenever I have looked at him. Does he do botox or stay out of the sun as he has no character lines on his face yet! :)
  6. Summary article on the umpiring and twitter comments. Yep, it was pretty bad. https://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/livid-afl-fans-fume-at-mindboggling-umpiring-in-dogs-vs-swans/news-story/7d6f06c269f737b9c9f1a60a5d3d9d85
  7. Yeah, I constantly try to coach that habit out of the my junior teams. I think they pick it up in Auskick! Slows their ability break from contests.
  8. That's great for recognition. But prefer a premiership cup this year.
  9. What I'm not sure about is the context. It has been stated he plagiarised some of his research, not how it may have affected his conclusions. This is what AFL policy is based upon. If his conclusions are supported by other researchers, the AFL doesn't have a real issue and the guidelines are fine. The second point, was he treating these players as an AFL employee or a private doctor. While the publicity is not good, if it was in private practice, not an AFL issue. Though listening from last night "on the couch" Kade, may have gotten very poor advice which meant he continued to play when he should have been resting. I wonder who McCartin. works with?
  10. Good choice for the big "C" in fantasy. But like both games this year, wary but quietly confident. We'll be building slowly over the year and the delay in bringing in Leaver/Hibberd shows its all about seasons planning, no panicking like in previous years to rush back player to try and win. The system works and is self supporting as new players slip into it. Been impressed with Smith and he's improving.
  11. That is a concern as she makes a difference with her drive and size.
  12. At the moment I read it for confirmation bias :). Plus it stops me having to enter their territory...
  13. how many were so obvious and missed. Blood freo and tipping, never get them right.
  14. For Port, are they now broken mentally after all the prelim loses and the smashing last year.
  15. OMFG how bad are Freo in delivering the ball into 50.... painful to watch.
  16. Thought he was gone years ago. He's had long enough without the ultimate success.
  17. Well done buddy. But what's with pawing all over his face as he. tried to move to the boundary. Really weird. Made sure my kids watched as its not something that happens much anymore, when was the last 100 goal season?
  18. Up until their 3rd qtr comeback I'm thinking we broke them last year. Someone shared a state of teams smashed in gf's failing the next year and the dogs seem to be following that path. But if they had kicked half of those points in the last qtr they would have won. Bad kicking is bad footy. The blues have a strong mid (with one young talent to return) and a great fwd (singular), the rest can be taken apart by a top side. Tigers/dogs are not that at the moment.
  19. Yeah especially compared to last Thursday. Its the dog supporters again I would reckon. Not turning out for games for some reason.
  20. Hey all, Just got this email from the club about their new rewards program. Good idea. https://membership.melbournefc.com.au/reward-recognition
  21. slightly different characters (I think)
  22. The delay could be a concern, but the club has more preparation time. Free could knock off the. crows, but in Adelaide it will be a challenge. Rather play them than crows if we make it.
  23. Never bad seeing the up and coming dons getting a lesson.
  24. As I teach my students ,Morris failed the grandma test..for digital posting Basically if you wont show or say it to your grandma don't put it online... its an easy rule. Though a few of my students used to retort of how wild and inappropriate their grandma was and would love it.. :)
  25. Voss make the rookie mistake with his club at birdie thinking they 1 last run at it and topped up. He's a good coach and will be much better this timed we'll see consistent improvement in the blues this year. They should make th e8 if they can sustain it.. Tigers, looking older and not able tout that pressure on for 4 qtrs. need an injection of younger players to run out games.
