Have reread what I said and it is accurate. Toovey was shopped around. Pies knew for a while before it was reported that Davis was gone. Still needed to reduce salary cap pressure. Toovey took less than he wanted and he was kept. McCarthy was let go and McCaffer was also kept after renegotiating. If Davis had stayed I am sure Toovey or McCaffer was gone. What I was trying to get at was that clearly the Pies don't see Toovey as a must keep.

Not according to the Pies, they tried desperately to trade him and he could even have been delisted if Davis stayed and he had stuck to his pay demands.

Speaking of higher powers, WJ has just arbitrarily locked the Denham thread. It was being viewed and added to regularly and yet on the whim of one person it is now locked. Goodbye to democracy and freedom of speech on Demonland.
