I lost a bit of confidence in his early return after hearing him.

Sylvia an emergency for the Dockers.
-
It would be a bit silly of Misson to say he might play round ,1 if he was not going to play all year.
-
He turns into a toad.

I am not a drug user or even a supplements user.

Had a blood test today. They struggled to find blood supply. Jabbed me in the elbow, on the hand and finally succeeded on my wrist. 3 bandages made me looked like I was stabbed. Don't think I would be a good target for a vampire.

Agree. One of the few players in the side, besides Watts, who can actually pass a ball accurately. I just love those chips to the back pocket after a point and then back to the goal square, where we turn it over for a goal. Dunn kicks it out about 50-60 metres straight to a team mate. If played up forward he can bomb a long goal and can even tag in the midfield. Yeah we have plenty of those.

What? He is not in our top 25% player salaries?

Breathing.

Unbelievable. Killer spiders have been found in bananas. Picture on the Yahoo site.

Interesting that on the radio when they announced that Wines had re signed for a few more years, they said he was overlooked in the draft by Melbourne. Why name only us?

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
Redleg replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
If it was my son as you ponder, I would be raising hell in the media, the Courts, wherever, I wouldn't be protecting his club. I might also drop a few people. Don't assume because I am arguing an issue with you, that I don't have the same sympathy for the players, I do, maybe more. I have attacked Essendon supporters over the disgusting way their club has treated its players and not once referred to punishment. I am not concerned with punishment per se, but stopping drugs in sport. My overwhelming concern has always been with the player's health and even that of their unborn children. This was a disgusting episode of total lack of care for the players all to win more games of football. The argument we are having is about controlling drugs in sport, not the victimisation of a group of Essendon players. What I am saying is that if you can blame another for your drug use, everyone will do it and how do you then have clean competition? A rational answer to that will happily have me agreeing to letting the Bomber players off. -

Bob, Wade Lees got 18 months for importing a supplement which contained a small amount of a banned substance. It was intercepted by customs and never even got into his possession. If he produced the Casey Doctor, who says to the authorities that he told him it was perfectly legal and he should use it if he wanted to get over his injury, should Lees have been let off? -

What is irrational about punishing a person who takes illegal drugs in sport and blames it on another's poor advice or judgment? I don't want more punishment I want clean sport. -

No it is his fault and you have civil remedies. When you play sport that may have another impact effect and another head of civil damage. Also see my post 3655. -

I share your sympathy for the players and wish them well in a health sense. I also understand people wanting to see them punished, as there is a tribal mentality in football, Essendon Officials have behaved disgracefully and there is an obvious anger when cheating is involved. However, Sue below in her post, probably sums it up, as to why the players need to be punished, if the evidence of illegal drug use is present. If they are not punished if the evidence is there, then any future athlete merely need say, I was told the stuff was legal. Then an official stands up and says, "yes I told them that" and he takes the fall. You could kiss all world sport goodbye, as it would then become a simple case of the best drugs win the medals. The athlete willingly allowing drugs to be put in his body must be held accountable, even if he is misled or dumb. -
Another sad day for this club. Have passed on my thoughts on the other thread. This club, together obviously with their families and friends, has lost fine men in Dean Bailey, Jimmy Stynes, Sean Wight, Stewart Spencer, Peter Szental and some others who I can't recall ATM, in the last few years. Neale Daniher is also not well and it all adds to the difficult and sad times the club has faced over the last few years in a very human way.

Agree. That is a nice way to remember him, as a top bloke. Condolences to his family and friends.

Not according to some moronic Bomber supporters I know. -
Good post. I put it down to basically we have recruited poorly. Why do some recruits come in from round 1 and play good footy, that is not development.

Where you can watch Colin Sylvia.

I share that view. I think we are being misled on the injury front. BUT if it translates to wins I can probably live with the deception. It probably has to do with membership sales and also not flagging player 's injuries to the opposition. Many will remember Sheedy's flu as the reason given for many hidden injuries of Bomber players over the years. If we were told that Hogan and Clark were out for the year, how many memberships would be lost. I think we are just going to have to live with some inaccurate injury info from the club but we are not alone in this, they all do it. 4-6 anyone?
-
Disagree. Our problem has been, see ball, get ball, give ball to opposition. We only have to change one of those, the last, to keep ball.
-
I could see that side with Blease in for Pedersen and Toumpas in for Bail.

I get the feeling we will have one of Gawn and Dawes in against the Saints. If they play this week for Casey, then perhaps 20 minutes a quarter against the Saints at FF.
