  1. And they will beat us kicking 14-6 to our 8-18.
  2. Sarcasm meter turned off Clint ?
  3. The commentators like the whole footy world have been told not to highlight poor umpiring.
  4. Given JKH has not played a senior game this year I didn’t think he was too bad. I actually thought Spargo wasn’t that bad either. At least they try and get the ball at a contest, unlike you know who.
  5. It’s ok everyone, we can relax, the AFL is fixing the problem. What is the problem you ask, well a kick for goal by a Docker was touched by a Pies player and not picked up by the review. On the TV you can see Mayne’s little finger touch the ball. It was reviewed by the AFL heavily last night after the game, as a missed touch to Collingwood could seriously harm the game. The Pies received 7 frees in their inside forward 50 to the Dockers one. 4 goals were gifted to the Pies from blatant incorrect decisions but let’s not worry about that. We got 1 free inside our forward 50 to 4 soft goals to Crows yesterday but we are only Melbourne and not Collingwood . Blatant Melbourne frees ignored as per usual. The AFL said we are not worried about Melbourne as who really cares anyway. We look at the issues that count and that matter to our great game like this missed touch on the ball. Heads will roll over this. Maybe if our club mattered as much as the tip of a Collingwood players little finger we would become relevant. We clearly are not. The game has seriously lost a lot of its enjoyment to me.
  6. Yes there is, we play one short.
  7. He was pushed directly in the back and it was a basic free kick since 1896 when the game started. Same as Weideman 10 metres out, but we don’t get basic frees, while opposition get slight touches.
  8. Would Jeffy?
  9. You of course will Lay Off Oscar and others you continually pot. This is your latest post on Oscar - "And just to think he has played what over 50 games??? Hnmm reason why MFC are no closer to success than in 64!! Putrid player!"
  10. Besides our own disgraceful kicking for goal, don't forget the bad luck we are continually having. Can't get a free in front of goal ever. Multiple injured players unlike the opposition each week. Lose Salem and Hore just before the game. With them in it would be fair to say we win.
  11. Are you serious? Have you ever played the bloody game? He is a squib of the highest order. His gutless play must drive his team mates mad. It certainly does to nearly every Dees fan I know. So if a bloke gets 3 Joe the Gooses and pulls out of every contest, you think he has played well. Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Thank you. I have said that for weeks. The guy is scared sh-tless. Play him and you deserve to lose every week. He must have been involved in at least 10 negative incidents tonight, any one of which if he had tried, we would have won. I feel sorry for Weid because he should never have been in that position. He was nearly crying. Jeffy couldn't give a flying f-ck.
  13. If you continue to play that squib Jeffy, this club deserves every loss it will have.
  14. And the kiss of death is with us.
  15. He deserves it as the umpire was in yellow.
  16. That is ok as Hore has never played in a winning Dees team in Darwin.
  17. No, stick to the topic and your post. You said since PJ left we have stumbled at every step. I then mentioned membership and you have ignored this year and guessed it “will” be less next year. How is next year’s unknown membership number a stumble when this year is a record number?
  18. Hasn’t got through the game yet and pubs are open tonight and tomorrow.
  19. Crows all primed for a big win at our home in the North.
  20. He might end up playing a 100 or so more games with us than Spargo.
  21. He has a mental health, concussive, knee ankle hamstring injury. Should be ok in 4-6.
  22. I laugh at the experts who say injuries are not an excuse. Of course they are. If you lose a close game, with half your side out, against a side at nearly full strength, of course it is an excuse. Maybe coaches don't like to use it, as they deal with the "we had 22 and so did they" mantra, but maybe change the word "excuse" to "reason" and it is a good one.
  23. The point of my thread is that good list management would have seen a need and addressed it. I used Finlayson as the example, because some of us on DL saw the need and knew he was available pretty cheaply and he could play both ends, was an accurate kick, good mark and had pace. Who did the FD identity and go after? Result was it was all left to Tom who was injured and the developing Weid. We can see the results now, that we are the worst side in the AFL at keeping possession when we enter our inside 50. Finlayson as a 3rd tall forward has kicked 3 times the goals of Tom and would have helped him and us if we got him. He was available and most on here knocked him. I have said for a while our list management has been poor, as we have ignored pace and disposal in our relentless search for contested possession. I don’t blame Taylor I blame those giving him the shopping list.
  24. We seem to come up against sides that are reasonably close to full strength while we are still losing players each week to injury. For example, would we have beaten the Bombers without Shiel, Smith and Stringer, their best 3 against us?
