  1. Telstra will provide live coveage through your mobile at a fee. Mictosoft do not provide this service for free, you have to subscribe to foxtel through Xbox live. It is foxtel that have the contract to stream live over the Internet. You can get live steaming on your Telstra tbox...but again you have a subscription to foxtel through this.
  2. So did they run 3 or 3.2? Nicholson only mentioned 3 and I think the MFC article said 3 as well...
  3. No problem DC. I did some more looking around and there is a FAQ section. It seems you need a 2mbps minimum for this to work. Though I would still be looking for some feedback from someone who has used it first hand. But I did a speed test on my connection and got over 10mbps so should be ok. Also the FAQ confirms it is unmetered with Telstra. I am with internode who I really like but will have to look at Telstra now if i go down this path...much to my displeasure! Here is the link http://www.foxtel.com.au/xbox/faqs/default.htm
  4. Of course. I thought it would be obvious that you would need to clarify these things based on your own circumstances and the connection you get at your particular location. I am simply saying there is enough in it for me to merit further investigation.
  5. Was just letting you know my thoughts based on reasonable assumptions...i just havent got around to checking yet...Obviously you would need to clear these things up before proceeding. The Telstra unmetered logo was on the foxtel Xbox live page provided by Rhett - hence the assumption...perhaps Rhett could clear up for us. Also it would be fair to assume that they wouldn't offer this product if it didn't work throught most ADSL2 services. But again I haven't used it myself so can't confirm for you. Is there anyone that uses this that can give some feedback? I would be surprised though if all of that didnt check out.
  6. Also as long as you get good reception from your wifi where the xbox would sit, most wifi set ups should cope with this.
  7. I don't have this...so i cant say how well it works...but i am considering it. If you are with Telstra I assume it is unmetered so won't cont towards your download. And I would also assume that ADSL2 would be sufficient for playback...though if you had multiple users on your network at the same time you may run into some bandwidth issues. But has some promise and seems reasonable value.
  8. Would be because Xbox live which is the consoles online content has a contract with foxtel to show their programming. Naturally you would need an Xbox to play this...and offers Xbox a point of difference to say the PS3.
  9. That's exactly what I was thinking...
  10. Not sure I was asking him that.
  11. Its very easy to say he should be doing as well as Gys. It's not a surprise seeing him behind others being a speed athlete and given his injury history. It does sound though that he has made some improvements and is putting in at every session.
  12. Got it, thanks. Over to you Rhett. I look forward to seeing how the Telstra mobile prices for the iPad compare also.
  13. It's not $19.95 mentioned above?
  14. What if he lives in a unit?
  15. Yep spot on. And it seems Jack has responded well to the challenge. Just like he did when made the sub last year. MN might over his time in the caper have developed an understanding of how different players are best motivated...
  16. I hate to nit pick...but my head is itchy...
  17. I think that would be unlikely. However if we have a stinker of a year and end up in the bottom 5 or so, meaning another team would have to use a very early pick to outbid us it could be interesting.
  18. When freak questions something I get worried...he is usually spot on!
  19. Thanks for the report Wayne. Pics also up on Facebook!
  20. Got a head like a half eaten pastie...
  21. Part 2 on the MFC site is a great read. Looks like a great opportunity.
  22. Could the title make it clear this is not about MFC players, just had a heart attack.
  23. Evans can find the ball but I'd like to see him use it better before getting too excited.
  24. The offseason is slow...and the tread on our top 10 favourite players was a good one. So I thought I would kick another one off with our best year as a Dees fan. Mine was 1998. Our big names were up and about that year, Tingay, Lyon, Viney, Stynes, febey brothers...etc. it was an up and down season but we hit a superb run of form coming into the finals and were just running over teams in the final quarters and smashed the eventual premier in a final before bowing our to the Roos. It was one hell of a ride and we really could beat any team on our day. 2000 was hard to top making the GF and going to see it live but we were always up against it to get over a very dominant bombers side that year. I just felt a real buzz in 98 and thought we were a real chance with many of my favourite players burning it up.
