Elsternwick park is 10 mins on train from Richmond. It has full sized oval. It is close to Nepean hwy and rail and tram. It is actually 6 kms from Melbourne city. It is already upgraded and ready to go but would need a lot of diplomatic and political sway to get it. But much less than other options. It already has a license, it has an almost extinct bowls club next to it that needs a makeover if a function was needed. It is close to some of the best pub meals at the Elsternwick hotel. That end of GlenHuntly rd is now catching up with inner suburbs. There is quite a lot going for it. Brand new facilities, it is like a large regional ground. I just think that the infrastructure and politics of of other options has about the same hope as a train to the airport. And Port Melbourne? We'd be under the WestGate and with our luck it would come down again.

The Councillor is Rob Grinter. Not sure if he is a relative of Rod. My argument is that a strong council would not stand for his dealings in his shop under Accountability and Integrity codes of conduct. There is also an Impartiality code which would seem that you are walking close to. Most councilors have been mayor it seems. Where I live near Elsternwick Park, our ward is conjoined with East Brighton. Why? Its miles away. This means when I walk my dog off leash in Elst park I soon will have to share with a football club building an oval on Parkland where I cant let my dog off leash. Vampires are from East Brighton, no where near us, but very close to where the perennial council members live. They stay on council for about as long as the Castros in Cuba. We have not had a local onboard and I have watched and petitioned with Bruce Woodley to not lose our dog park. I pay rates. I take a particular interest as 2 ex-school chums of mine have been mayor and other than being on council they dont seem to make much of a mark in society. So it gets up my frock when you say Bayside are clean. Its not black and white its black and grey. I am glad you too, believe the main Elsternwick oval would be a good idea. It is used about 5% of the year.

Elsternwick Park is used for umpires to train. It is owned by VCA (I understand, could be wrong). It regularly held >20,000 people at Rockdogs matches. It is under utilised and has its stands rebuilt. Bayside is is re-allocating parks and ovals in this area at the moment. It is possibly too late to try but is close to the train and Nepean Hwy and you can park around the ground. It is a large ground as well. Also it is enclosed and easy to close the gate. EDIT: It is actually part of Baysides Parks. If you look at Baysides boundaries it is in starvation corner. By going with the latest scandals and dodgy practices that have afflicted this council and the fact that none of the Councillors have ever lived close to this mainly Elwood area, I reckon if we had an Eddie type president, we would be right in the mix.

We will nearly have our best 22 when we start the year. All other players required have a good base. We just dont hear much about other clubs injuries yet as they probably didnt hear about our bad pre-season last year. hell, neither did I. I personally suspect without knowing stats, that most bad injuries happen late in the 2nd half of the year or in pre-season. Although we have niggles (according to the club, which cant be trusted to say anything illuminating except propa-gander in this situation), we will go in on-fire. Buy memberships! I know the Blues and Dons have critical injuries and it sounds like the eagles have a couple of major players that were unable to finish the pre-season. Ben Brown is injured but because of the pay wall I couldnt see too much. KK and Bennell dont worry me now. Im putting on my rose-coloured glasses. I have taken up the 15-1 for the Dees to make the Grand final. And thats a bad omen.

Coming from behind Versus West Coast to get close is not a win, but it would be ok.

Win one final is a pass Win 2 is what I expect

Gawn&Viney captains May, Jetta and TMac leadership group.
-
Vineys leadership is mainly onfield. We all know that. If he is fit to go, there will be no worries at all about his leadership. Two fantastic captains.

Is it possible Joel Smith is kicking on the left because on Wednesdays some players are encouraged to kick left foot only?

I didnt say missing. I said not right.

8-10 for Pruess will mean he isnt right this year. probably look a million dollars 1st November for Pre-season.

I would put all their home games before June and half of Brisbane and Gold coasts after June and the other half down south. Then give the Roo/Devils 2 home games later in the year at the G to bring in footy followers. [censored] playing down there in July and August. Yes it would stuff up a lot of "Big matches" but it wouldnt bother me.

Was it Jones' idea to give up the captaincy? The script makes it look that way. I wonder. I too believe Nathan Jones should have retired. BTW Plenty here playing the man not the ball for their opinions on this.

At least all officers of the court and police are trustworthy.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Im glad we have seen it and without knowing anything more, it is a slice of what we need to be capable of. Maybe we are. Better than not seeing it but not enough for any conclusions.
-
I didnt know it had been re-mastered. Thanks.ordered.

I hope his own opinion of how he is going is helping decide about the camp. Could he possibly have a trip home to WA? He missed Christmas at home(WA) in his positive attitude to get back onfield and give it his best shot. I just hope he feels fully embraced by the club as he goes through the highs and lows of recovery.

Id like to see Salem push the boundaries of his foot skills. We know he is a reliable good kick. They float a little and generally do not go great distance. Id like to see him kick it it harder and lower.

Im going with Oscar MacDonald to unexpectedly perhaps, play most games and get semi regular votes from Demonland player of the round.
