  1. has to be one of the best response to a topic ever
  2. ouch. i think anyone dedicated to sign up for a forum like this is probably already a member
  3. they are going to see alot of action this week so who exactly can withstand that sort of pressure? the only one i can think of is rivers - and that would be in his first game back have a stab at who you reckon shoul play where
  4. HF Morton, Bate, Bruce FF Sylvia, Neitz, Newton Maybe? quite frankly i dont think we should be worrying too much about our forwards this week becaus they arn't going to see much of the ball
  5. whats the deal with Maric and yr 12 commitments? i've heard he wants to focus on VCE this yr, how much will that affect how much he plays?
  6. that argument would work if the tanking would have any effect on our premiership chances which throughout this topic we have repeatedly shown that no no it wouldnt. if you don't believe me look at carlton. tell me their last five years has won them a flag. you are a muppet. i may not know you but i know that much. and with that i am off for the night. thanks nugget for the back up
  7. playing youngsters is completely different! deliberately losing a match (just to remind you what exactly tanking is) is cheating. any self respecting person will tell you that. and for the last time i dont want to be like everyone else! we are melbourne! not some other shitty team!
  8. Okay. even if we accept the fact that only brown deserved a proper send off ( which i completely contest) he played good games for us and id prefer to give him the respect he deserves. I bet ur one of the people that [censored] about how none of our past players give anything back to the club. If we give them that sort of send off maybe we dont deserve their help
  9. by the way "taking an opportunity" is different from cheating. and i dont car if you decide to lable tanking "list management" a horse is a horse even if you call it a cow
  10. LET me state this once more - I DONT WANT TO BE LIKE ANY OTHER CLUB! THAT IS NOT WHY U SUPPORT A GODDAMNED TEAM! i do not give a [censored] what other teams do. I give a [censored] what we do. And i for one want the flag that u so ardently expect will be won through tanking, to be a real flag, not one earned on the back of dodgy tactics and shitty morals. I'm not naive - i see it better then you. and i know i want nothing to do with it. if you do go and support carlton
  11. You officially cemented your status as a tool with this little gem. Playing players with personal problems is a completely seperate issue to tanking. The responsibility of a club is to play the best players, which is what west coast did. They also had no cementable significant proof against any player, giving them absolutely no legal grounds on which to prevent players playing. There was no moral imperative for west coast not to play their best players, in fact the spirit of the game is the opposite - you play to win every game - a fact you have forgotten You are a Joke You're arguments are a bigger joke if you are going to post this sorta crap at least support it with rational argument u tool
  12. As stupid as this sounds id rather we played to win then lose just for draft picks. It's a wonder that carlton supporters, or for that matter you Red&Blue&True, can hold your head up high. Carlton is the least respected team in the comp. And for the record their draft picks from the last 5 years (where they have failed to get out of the bottom 2) havent seemed to help them too much. I'd rather have integrity then be like those pieces of s***. so yes RBT you are filthy, but for different reasons then u state
  13. had a look at priority pick laws it is as follows : Clubs winning no more than four games in a season from next year will be eligible for a priority pick taken after the completion of the first round of the national draft. If the club has successive poor years of no more than 16 points in each of those seasons — not averaged over the course of those seasons — the priority pick will be taken, as it is now, before the national draft. so to summarise if the tankers or richmond finish with less then four wins then they will have the first pick. So there is no way we can get a priority pick before the first round.
  14. excellent article, nice to see the blatent facts - i have to admit i have been quite ignorant to these truths and somewhat hoodwinked by the media
  15. joeboy, you have 5 outs and 6 ins. from the looks of things you have axed wheatly as well. don't know if he should go - he played allright, got some possesions.
  16. yeah but is that first round or second round? i know carlton had a first round priority pick (pick 1) last year but richmond was second round (pick 17). what differentiates the two?
  17. out of interest what exactly are the rules regarding priority picks? what are the requirements for a first round priority pick? (this is merely for interest, not meaning to imply anything at this stage)
  18. dropping neitz over robertson? axe robbo first - he's lazier and doesnt seem to care
  19. 6. Nathan Carrol - best by a mile 5. the umpire - had a great first half 4. Dean Bailey - for being forced to coach this crap 3. The supporters - for being forced to watch this crap 2. Cale Morton - showed something 1. The Siren - saved us from reaching 100 behind for the second week in a row
  20. as much as i agree with the droppings of bode garland and weetra i reckon we axe the older players first. they are just getting into the swing of things (without much leadership i might add) - the older guys don't have that excuse.
  21. hell we only lost by 80 or so points in the NAB cup against geelong why don't we just use that team? theyd probably do better then how some of our hacks are performing atm.
  22. i was bemused to see 27,000 people there. Thats a bit better then i expected - i just wished our players would give them a show worthy of their support
  23. 3.) Ben Jolland--retire, hes been a solid contributor, will not help our future damn that Ben Jolland is an interesting player.... In regards to white - the guy is 195 centimetres tall and as such relies on athletecism to gain the upper hand. when you get old you begin to lose your atleticism - a fact that white is having to contend with right now. Having said that we still need him, he may not be in his prime but the sad fact is he's our best ruckman. in an ideal word he'd leave gracefully now, but look around you - we lost by over 100 points last weekend - this world is far from ideal. PJ is two years off and meesen just looks out of place as a ruckman atm. we still need white to hold the fort. i hope later in the yr this will change and we will be able to give white the send off he deserves this yr but atm i cant see it happening. btw lumping him in with buckets isnt fair - he and wheels are better than that.
