  1. It stuns me that people think that once Oliver shifts across to Geelong he will then win the Brownlow, be finals MVP, win a premiership etc…. Oliver clearly has issues and I doubt even a good culture can eradicate the problems he has. I believe he’s on a slippery slope and won’t get back to his once dominant self. He has already peaked.
  2. That’s terrifying in itself. There are serious questions around Goodwin’s handling of Oliver this season.
  3. I wonder how Max Gawn is feeling after all the effort he has put in over the past 12 months. Would it be relief or pure anger at how this ended? I also doubt we will ever know the truth behind the decision. My kingdom for a stable, smart, proactive, water tight football club. We are a disgrace.
  4. I hope Clarry doesn't go however to say Geelong doesn't have anything to give us is incorrect. There are a number of players including SDK (who I've read is disgruntled), Max Holmes, etc, who I'm sure we would look at.
  5. He can argue all he wants on a contested game style or being hard to play against however times change and Brisbane played an entertaining game style with lightening speed mixed with contested football which would have beaten most, if not all teams last Saturday. Regardless of game style, be it contested or fast-paced, foot skills and decision making is a key component to winning and Brisbane have that in spades.
  6. Think I’d prefer to sort my sock drawer.
  7. If the Swans do get pumped at the end of the game, I wonder if they will accelerate the handover from Longmire to Cox. He’s had a great year Horse but maybe they’ll view it’s time to change things up to clear the final hurdle.
  8. Restructured his contract with WC so he is now earning close to $1 million per season for the next five years. IMO that is massive overs for a guy who has had one good season and hasn’t kicked more than 20 goals in any other season.
  9. Don’t reckon they will let him go with Dixon well and truly cooked.
  10. Being harsh on Stewart. He saved them on numerous occasions last night and had 22 disposals at 82% with 12 intercepts. Hardly woeful.
  11. Hopefully Port get up tonight and tomorrow night, I think the Cats will pump the Bears.
  12. Leading WC coaching candidate Steven King collapsed at Cats training this morning. Hope he’s alright. Interestingly WC put out the following statement. “The West Coast Eagles are aware of a medical episode involving Geelong assistant coach and Senior Coach candidate Steven King at the Cats’ training session this morning. Our thoughts are with Steven, his family and the Geelong Football Club. Steven's health is the priority, and we wish him a speedy recovery.”
  13. Great to see Gus will be there on the night. Fantastic news.
  14. Christian will be attending the Red Bull training camp overseas rather than attending the B&F. Melbourne will look back on their 2024 season at the club’s best and fairest count in early October, but Christian Petracca won’t be there. JAY CLARK explains why. Why Petracca will skip Demons’ B&F
  15. He also took a mark of the year candidate during this time which was overhead. I just don’t think he’s quick enough.
  16. This thread will be an interesting read in mid July next year I reckon. For better or worse. Regardless, Goody is under the pump.
  17. Could Dees join Macrae race? Jay Clark believes he would be perfect for us and would takeover the Angus Brayshaw role.
  18. It comes down to a clear branding strategy by the club. The club has the persona of Range Rover driving, tweed jacket wearing, skiing holidays, etc and while it may only apply to a small majority, if you ask opposition supporters, that’s what they reference. Although people could see this as a negative, it can be used as a positive by having some fun with it through on our social media channels. I think the club is too safe with its communication and needs to make some ripples by dancing on the edge of tongue-in-cheek messaging and not shying away from the way we’re perceived. They need to become edgy.
  19. Don’t like either team however I’m on the Bears tonight as I like Fagan. This could quickly change if I have to hear “Country Road” on repeat tonight.
  20. It was in response to kicking skills. JNM’s comment was vague in itself. My god people are sensitive in regards to Clarry on this site 😆
  21. When was the last time Clarry hit anyone lace out in our forward line on purpose?
