  1. Where we finish has a great deal to do with self (team) belief, and steely resolve. We have shown an abundance of these qualities in the last 6 weeks, and if they remain intact, we finish top 4.

Great stuff Neville. Team first as always! Jetta embraces Indigenous round
  4. I feel sorry for Jake, sorry for the Dees and sorry for the Demonland fraternity. It takes some of the gloss off our recent performances, but all we will rebound strongly!

To me, Nev is the epitome of the perfect ALF AFL footballer ie. he gives everything of himself for the team. He must be an absolute dream to coach.
  6. Scrappy game but a good solid win against a team we needed to beat. Overall, disposal wasn't as crisp and clean today as it has been recently. Lacking concentration, not lowering eyes, trying to be a bit too cute or even being a bit lazy on occasions, but some of that may be down to fatigue after the short break and the warm conditions in Alice. I'll happily take the four points and move to QB after a 9 day break to freshen up.
  7. 6. Jetta You star!! 5. Hogan 4. Oliver 3. Lewis 2. Fritsch 1. TMac Great spread of good players again. Can't fit Max, Salo, Hannan or Gus in my top 6, despite their good games.
  8. Sadly no contact when his knee seemed to buckle, so unlikely to be bone bruising, I reckon. Sincerely hope that this is just MFCSS in my part!
  9. Excellent article. I like the way it explains the evolution of Jonesy's kicking from the (old) just ' bomb it forward' approach, to what we see today. It's been a remarkable transformation really, and a huge credit to Jonesy.

I expect the pups to come out yapping and snapping at our heels, but I can’t see their hyper-activity lasting for an extended period. We look to have their measure in most areas, and on form this year, they seem to have few players who are likely to inflict a heap of pain (even if they do get off the leash, which is doubtful because imo we are too disciplined to allow that to happen). Dee’s by around 7 goals I reckon, and the puppies again licking their wounds in the dog-house. ps. In the unlikely event that we do come out ‘flat’ after the Alice and the short break, I’m very confident that our boys will do whatever it takes to find another gear for the Jonesy. That’s what good teams do, and we are a good team now!
  11. The win and the tie before it (but I was too young to remember any of it). Been rusted on ever since.
  12. No you won't Andy, I promise! Once you've savoured the first, the appetite continues to grow. I've been lucky enough to see 7 of our 12, and I can't wait to celebrate number 13 (which for the first time I'll be permitted to celebrate with something a bit stronger than lemonade!).
  13. David Rodan James Sellar Viv Michie Aiden(?) Riley
  14. Thanks Drunkn. This is an exceptional interview with an outstanding young man and leader of our football club. I'm almost in tears, and in awe of what might be possible with Jonesy at the helm. Brilliant stuff!
  15. Lots of good points above. Another important factor is that most times that the ball enters our F50 (whether it be a pass or a speculative bomb) we either mark it or create a contest at ground level. This is why we are now getting score board 'value' for our high number of entries.
  16. No matter who we have played, or how much weight you place on statistics, there can be no denying that those numbers are bloody impressive!
  17. I like it that our Club has already seen enough to back-in the draft calls they made only 6 months ago, and that the boys are clearly happy at Melbourne. Importantly in Petty's case, the 'go home' factor was not a barrier to his re-signing.
  18. .................. but can it cope with a Flag??
  19. So in a nutshell, the crows in S.A. have ceased crowing.
  20. I honestly can't think of another player (in the last 60 years) who can be legitimately compared to Clarry. His skill-set is unique!
  21. I reckon former Demon Luke Beveridge might have a few sleepless nights trying to plan match-ups for next Saturday. Where the Hell would he start?
  22. 6. Brayshaw 5. Hogan 4. Hibberd 3. Jones 2. Viney 1. Gawn ............ and all of Lever, Oliver, Nibbler, Melksham and Vince could be added to that list, and not a single Demonlander would quibble!
