  1. I like it that our Club has already seen enough to back-in the draft calls they made only 6 months ago, and that the boys are clearly happy at Melbourne. Importantly in Petty's case, the 'go home' factor was not a barrier to his re-signing.
  2. .................. but can it cope with a Flag??
  3. So in a nutshell, the crows in S.A. have ceased crowing.
  4. I honestly can't think of another player (in the last 60 years) who can be legitimately compared to Clarry. His skill-set is unique!
  5. I reckon former Demon Luke Beveridge might have a few sleepless nights trying to plan match-ups for next Saturday. Where the Hell would he start?
  6. 6. Brayshaw 5. Hogan 4. Hibberd 3. Jones 2. Viney 1. Gawn ............ and all of Lever, Oliver, Nibbler, Melksham and Vince could be added to that list, and not a single Demonlander would quibble!
  7. We are MELBOURNE! We are the REAL DEAL!

I'll happily settle on a win of any proportions, but I have a very pleasant game-day feeling that we will have won 18 quarters on the trot by the end of the round. That's not 100% unreasonable, is it?
  9. I'm currently in a remote area of NSW, and 20 kms from the nearest internet coverage. Yesterday I drove the 40 kms (round trip) to enjoy the post-match frenzy on Demonland, only to get caught up in the damn Telstra outages. Another 40 kms this morning, and I finally get to 'feel' the excitement of fellow Demonlanders. The iPad is now down from 100% to 15% .......... that's how much I enjoyed it. Well done guys and gals! Go Dees!
  10. 6. Melksham 5. Lever 4. TMac 3. Gawn 2. Jones 1. Brayshaw
  11. As an interstate member, Demonland is my football 'lifeblood'. Thanks Andy and crew for your great work. More than happy to donate.

Well Clarrie is an emerging super star. I've had too much red to even contemplate Cripps, so Clarrie wins hands down from my pov.
  13. ................... well your call on Fritta was spot-on, so I'm more than happy to climb aboard the Bull train. ps. I love it when players are rewarded when their Casey form becomes irresistible.

Not sure how you can draw that conclusion di4e. Harmes and ANB are solid foot-soldiers ....... Gaff is a match-winner, and would take our midfield work and forward entries to a brand new level.
  15. Agree completely Wise. This summary: Key defensive pillars continue to build by Troy Chaplin says exactly what you are saying, but in a few more words.
  16. So both Curnows tell fibs, but one is more plausible than the other.
  17. So was mine ...... just a very poor attempt.
  18. Both Clarrie and premierships!
  19. Since when have the Dees been "One of the Big Clubs that Rule the AFL"?
  20. Over the last few weeks things have really started to gel, back, front and in the middle. The team is stable but individual roles are flexible. We have plenty of key players in form, with Casey players snapping at the heels to keep the seniors honest. We have matured as a group since the early part of the season. When were we last in this position 1/3 of the way through a season? Bloody long time ago, that's for sure! I can't see us being beaten on the weekend, no matter who Carlton have coming back, who lucked-out at the tribunal and how much trouble they have given in us recent years. Six and three looks a cert to me.
  21. The precedent has been set with both the Hawkins and the Curnow cases. They can now legitimately argue that the precedent has been set.
  22. Just unbelievable .... that's all!
  23. Double standards .............. makes a mockery of what the AFL would have us believe is a fair, even-handed system.
  24. Either they both get rest for a week, or the AFL's double standards are (again) on show for all to see. Plain and simple!
