  1. Hard choices for all the right reasons tonight. 6. May 5. Lever 4. Brayshaw 3. Langdon 2. Gawn 1. Hunt Honourable mentions to Salo, Hibbo, Tracc, Clarry
  2. Correct daisy. This from the Casey website: "Make sure that you get in early if, you'd like to come and watch the boys play Sunday, as we only have a limit of 1000 spectators due to COVID restrictions."
  3. Given results so far this round, this is a huge opportunity for the Dees to consolidate a top 4 finish. On the other hand, the Bombers will now have September action in their sights, and I expect them to come out firing. Bottom line: our experience, structures and fitness should hold sway, and lead to a comfortable win, so long as we don’t suffer from some sort of ‘post bye malaise’. Dees by 5 goals I reckon (much to my joy!).
  4. You’d expect at least two of BBB, Chandler, Jetta and Jones will come out as med. sub and emergency for our AFL team. Jones and Jetta perhaps (?) given the absence of VFL over the last month.
  5. This is very much a ‘horses.for courses’ team …….. a winning team! I really like it!
  6. Another great podcast. Thanks to Andy, George and bin for their entertaining and enlightening analyses, well as to Axis of Bob for his input.
  7. Brilliant! We are picking ourselves up from the doldrums, and momentum is building steadily on a number of key fronts. Soon we will be the envy of many other clubs, including several whose mantle we are well placed to steal. Go Dees!
  8. Great analysis again. Thanks guys. Really looking forward to next week!
  9. Very hard this week, for all the wrong reasons. 6. Jackson 5. May 4. Salem 3. Gawn 2. Jordon 1. Lever
  10. By any logical measure of ability, experience, game-plan, form or class, the Dees win this by 8+ goals. Then enter the unknown impact of the Buckley factor to complicate the equation. I’m sticking with the the tangibles over the intangibles, and predicting a comfortable win to the Dees, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a smidge concerned about the alternative. MFCSS is alive and well in the DOF household this morning.
  11. Great article D_I_O. Thanks! I'm growing in confidence that we are not too far away from meeting our Club's aspiration of having premiership winning teams in both the AFL and AFLW.
  12. C'wood will be up for this. Let's spoil their party!
  13. I’ll get my priorities sorted and listen to the podcast first, and come back to ‘On the Couch’ at a later time.
  14. I’m glad that I’m not the only Demonlander with moist eyes about this story. My love for, and pride in the red and blue will never falter, and this has nothing to do with ladder position.
  15. A few of our regular stars, and a few of the many outstanding role players in our Team. Just as you it should be: 6. Petracca 5. Gawn 4. Oliver 3. Brayshaw 2. Spargo 1. Rivers
  16. Leadership! Leadership! Leadership! At the start of the year I had my doubts! I was wrong! We have it in spades. across all lines, and in the coaches box!
  17. These are two evenly matched teams, and it should be a ripping contest, on neutral territory. Our confidence in our processes, structures and team mates should be sky high after last week's outstanding win, and if we can play the 'Melbourne' way for 100 minutes tonight, I have every confidence that we will consolidate our position on top of the ladder. Anything less than 100 minutes, and we might struggle. Dees by 2 or 3 goals.
  18. No need for a barometer ........ they already know that we are going to ‘rain on their parade’.
  19. It will take time to sort out our best forward half mix, but we will have it ‘nailed’ come September.
  20. When the game was scheduled for Alice, we had arranged for a dozen family and friends to gather at our place (Canberra) to watch the game. That arrangement is still going ahead. Mrs DOF commented this morning, that there’s a chance there will be more spectators in our lounge room, than there will be at Giants Stadium.
  21. Trent seems like a very well grounded and articulate young fella, as well as being a gifted, hard working, fast learning and courageous footballer. He was drafted at the perfect time be an important part of an exciting journey with the MFC.
  22. Missed the poddie last night but caught up this morning. Outstanding work as usual. Thanks!!
  23. I think you are Bach (ing) up the wrong tree bob.
