POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Carlton
Never been a fan of Carlton you always hear they’ve got the next big thing and seemly have wasted a lot of high end talent over the years, I’ve never rated Cripps as highly as some people do, whenever he got compared to Oliver I always thought he couldn't even tie Oliver’s boots in terms of pure impact. it brought me a lot of joy to see him get nailed twice holding the ball at critical points of the last quarter after his carry on at the start of the game.

PREGAME: Rd 04 vs Gold Coast
Wouldn’t mind seeing XT be considered as the Jiath replacement as a more like for like option

POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Carlton
Assuming Jiath misses some time it’ll be an interesting choice between Rivers & AMW to fill the vacancy down back

POSTGAME: Rd 02 vs Fremantle
We need to make the game easier for Rivers, look to get him the ball under less pressure that one step kick up the middle to Steele really got me thinking we need to start using him how the Pies have looked to use Houston this year has all the traits to open the game up off half back.

Jim's Game is back!
Hopefully the shamrock & green socks make a return too!

PREGAME: Rd 02 vs Fremantle
Would look to send Tholstrup to Young as a starting point as he’s their Nas equivalent and then move to Brayshaw/Serong if required
-
POSTGAME: Rd 01 vs St. Kilda
Very underrated game from Tholstrup today, went everywhere with Nas and really curbed his influence on the game. Yes he still kicked 3 but sometimes you just have to tip your hat to talent!

The List Manager Tim Lamb
Realistically the only three that we’ve been in for are Houston, Cerra & Flanders. Cerra we had over the line but couldn’t afford him at the time and has battled injury since so you could view that as a dodged bullet, Lamb had Houston in the bag until some ex players blew up the media and Houston got cold feet and we weren’t willing to give up our high end first round pick Langford > Houston especially long term & Flanders basically went to the highest bidder and if he doesn’t go to St Kilda we may not get Steele.

CASEY: Practice Match vs Richmond
Taylor’s disposal hasn’t been overly convincing missing short kicks

Welcome to Demonland: Latrelle Sumner-Pickett
I can understand the worry around Latrelle only playing ‘reserves’. Kozzy was playing the same level when he was drafted yes he was slightly younger but Glenelg was looking to 3 peat this year and has been the best SANFL team over the past few years so the fact that he was able to break into the side for a few games in the seniors shows there’s been sharp improvement in him considering he wasn’t even in a SANFL program 12 months ago. High risk high reward pick in what is considered a weak & even draft but has shown the scope to play up to a higher level of competition in a small period of time.

AFL Draft 2025: Pick 30 (formerly 37)
Greeves, Phillipou or NHH at our 3rd pick would be great 🤞
-
Cameron Nairn
Nairn reminds me of a certain #31 who kicked 6 in a grand final maybe with a better athletic profile feels like potentially a bit of a reach at our first picks

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
I think any combination of Grilj, Lindsay & Dovaston if we keep picks 7 & 8 would be a fantastic result. Grilj - Speed & Endurance, Line-breaker & full of xfactor Lindsay - Looks to be the best kick in it, composed, good decision maker & leadership qualities having captained most of the teams he’s played for. Dovaston - we’ve really lacked any kind of small fwd with high end talent & ability to hit the scoreboard since Kozzie, looks to be a bit in the Nick Watson type mold.

The List Manager Tim Lamb
Who’s going to be this years last minute Tim Lamb special for a throw away future 3rd or 4th rounder

Farewell Christian Petracca
Jake Rogers could be another one worth asking the Suns about, We’re desperate for another quality small forward with speed and looks like he’s going to get pushed down the pecking order further considering Leo Lombard barely played this season and Trac is likely to chew up some minutes as the Dusty hybrid mid/fwd role

Welcome to Demonland: Max Heath
I’d say judging by the fact that he’s followed MFC & the majority of our squad on Instagram indicates that he has one foot in the door already

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
Should asking the Crows about Sid Draper as part of the Petracca deal if he decides on the Crows. Has speed, endurance and good skills & fits the age bracket with Windsor, Tholstrup, Langford & Lindsay
