As a long time fan of the 49ers (whatever happened to Candlestick Park?) I'm gratified to see they're opening the season in Demon colours!!!

The No T$ No B$ Thread
Some of us around these parts attended the Crown Casino complex on Friday night but how many ventured out to Rosehill Gardens last night to attend what aught to be the pinnacle of the year to all true No T$ No B$ devotees - the unveiling of the winner of the 2015 Sheedy Medal? So just in case anybody might have missed it, here are the top 10 placegetters (well, actually the top 11) and, standing out like dog's balls, is absence of the million $ man:- 1. Heath Shaw (117) 2. Adam Treloar (98) 3. Callan Ward (91) 4. Jeremy Cameron (82) 5. Stephen Coniglio (75) 6. Devon Smith (73) 7. Dylan Shiel (72) 8. Ryan Griffen (64) 9. Shane Mumford (60) 10. Toby Greene, Nick Haynes (59)

The No T$ No B$ Thread
If you blokes are worried about things being quiet on this thread then perhaps it's time for me to revive my threat of closing it down again? This would ensure that RL comes out of his apparent self-induced stupor and also could scotch those rumours about Old Dee having reached the stage where rigor mortis has set in.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHRISTIAN PETRACCA
From what I saw of him in the televised NAB Championships games from last year I would put him more in the Sylvia category as a player than a Darling. The word on him was that he had put in a lot of work to shed weight and build up his endurance in order to make it possible for him to eventually play in the midfield and based on his carnival and TAC Cup form (I didn't see him in the latter so I'm going on reports), he succeeded in that although he'll probably start as a half forward and work his way into the midfield over time. Of course, we all hope that he brings a different attitude to the game than Col who let himself down in that regard although the culture of all football clubs is much different nowadays. But a Jack Darling, he's not.

The No T$ No B$ Thread
Our injury list was longer in 2009 and we were not only accused of tanking - we were charged with it and found guilty of employing a person who joked about tanking. So please, treat all discussion on this subject as deadly serious or you could cost the club $½m in fines and get the CEO and football manager sacked and Roosy banned.
