  1. After tonight that would be the second most disgraceful display from umpires you've seen - surely?
  2. You can come to my place and watch those gripping final 3.5 minutes. I haven't wiped the game off yet.
  3. In that case you should detour and finish your world tour with a visit to fabulous Darwin for the as Weagles game.
  4. Our injury list was longer in 2009 and we were not only accused of tanking - we were charged with it and found guilty of employing a person who joked about tanking. So please, treat all discussion on this subject as deadly serious or you could cost the club $½m in fines and get the CEO and football manager sacked and Roosy banned.
  5. Wow. Starc has just turned Clarke's declaration into a touch of genius 2/1 after the first over.
  6. Do you think we would enforce the follow on if we had the chance? Can't see it myself.
  7. If you have a problem with another poster, you can report it to the moderators. Otherwise, if you engage in the same stupid behaviour, then don't complain when you receive a warning. Thanks and please stick to topic as requested.
  8. Hey Redleg, find any bananas in the Big Apple?
  9. Surprised nobody's commented on the current test where Steve Smith compiled 199 of the Aussie total of 399. Starc came on to bowl in the second over of the Windies innings and missed his hat trick but still got his wicket with the fourth ball of the over - Chandrika caught behind for a duck. They are currently 6/119 with Lyon 3fer.
  10. Sadly not RL. You were hardly mentioned at last night's weekly Sunday dinner, the main topic of conversation being Juddy's knee, the undesirablilty of coriander in oriental dishes and the poor service.
  11. Dunno about the funny cigarette stuff but you can forget about Mr Leg. Last I heard, they said he was deported from Columbia and is steaming towards Miami where he has an assignation with the Department of Homeland Security on our Queens Birthday. Redleg might consider himself red and blue through and through but by the time those boys get through with him, black and blue might be a more apt description.
  12. Long way from Bogata to Cartagena which is on the coast. I know someone who runs a banana boat up river who is very reliable and claims to have a cousin in something they call "the cartel" who might be able to assist. The contents of the boat would satisfy readers of this thread at least until after the bye.
  13. I agree that it was Starc who ripped them apart in the end but it's a weak tail and credit is due to the entire bowling attack and the fielding. It's interesting that the West Indies' 7th wicket fell off the last ball of a Nathan Lyon over - the 80th of their second innings. The new ball was taken immediately and Johnson bowled a maiden to Holder. The new man Taylor was watching this rather uncomfortably from the bowler's end and was out lbw to Starc first ball of the next. I don't think he could get off the ground quickly enough. A couple of overs later and it was all over with Starc taking consecutive wickets off his last two balls. I think there's always been some controversy about this but am I right in saying that Starc is on a hat trick even though his next over is in a different test?
  14. All sewn up thanks to me. Woke up just in time to see the Windies lose their fourth wicket and from there they were skittled out by the Aussie attack. Deficit of 47 wiped out in no time for the loss of Warner. Big win to NSW Australia.
  15. If you're out there RL, try convincing the ship's captain to change course and steer towards Dominica. You might just catch the end of the First Test with the Aussies headed for victory. If all of the passengers and crew head for the ground at Roseau, the attendance should be quadrupled.
  16. Adam Voges becomes the oldest man to score a test century on debut - congrats
  17. Based on the Windies batting performance in the first innings, I'm wondering about the opening post to this thread. Chanderpaul would have surely lasted a bit longer than some of their current line up?
  18. Thanks all for your good wishes. I know where to take him if he ever wants to see an alpaca or visit a home for derelicts As for the name, it hasn't been announced but it's entirely up to the parents. If someone kicks the winning goal tomorrow against Port Adelaide, I will strongly recommend their name for consideration. I rather fancy something like "Heritier".
  19. From what I understand he's definitely not Andy Lovell's son. At best, distantly related.
  20. A tragedy for this thread which started with Shiv stonewalling against the Aussies. We finally get him out
  21. Rule 6A is the sanity clause.
  22. Said teacher's career prior to getting involved in education was rather colorful as well. Was a professional wrestler who went under the appellation of "The Animal" ~ http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Steele
  23. Doesn't matter. bjDee's right. Let's stay on topic please.
  24. John Burns, radio announcer (Melbourne)
  25. Yes, I have a lot of relatives.
