  1. All subject to government relaxing the current restrictions within that time and then there are the players who are living back in their home states.
  2. And what happens with the results of Round 1 where a club like Melbourne had the most difficult of road trips v WCE in Perth while others had much easier home games against lesser opponents? Does that round count? It might only be one round but in a reduced season, if it does count, then Melbourne would be massively disadvantaged in a draw that was supposed to favour it because of its lowly position in 2019. I don’t believe this is going to happen anyway - just as I think the opening round should have been called off in the first place.
  3. Haven’t seen him and don’t expect to for a while unfortunately.
  4. I met him when while visiting friends when he was in his first season. Nice bloke - terrific player and a wearer of the now famous #11. Condolences to his family.
  5. Promising draft prospect could miss two years of footy It’s going to be an interesting draft.
  6. Recruiters to fly blind at AFL national draft: McLachlan
  7. He was on virtually minimum wage - surely, he doesn’t take a massive wage cut?
  8. A little bit of light for the club is that our very own Karen Paxman has tied with North Melbourne’s Jasmine Garner and Carlton's Maddy Prespakis for the AFLW Player of the Year Award. Congratulations to a terrific player who truly deserved this award!
  9. Now that it appears the Olympics are likely to be postponed for 12 months, I’m more confident that we’ll win next year’s flag.
  10. This one went down well, didn’t it?
  11. If someone had told me six weeks ago that we would be one game from top place at the end of May, I would have taken it.
  12. I wonder what’s going to happen to the TV programmes like AFL360 and Footy Classified?
  13. This letter to the editor in a WA newspaper talks to why the decision was necessary:-
  14. No premiership awarded.
  15. Our game goes on tonight but ...
  16. My guess is North Melbourne who we beat by 2 points in Round 1 coming from behind.
  17. I suspect that because there is no VFL until further notice, clubs will be inclined to make more changes to their teams from week to week to ensure that they have many players capable of performing at the highest level. It will also keep players on their toes and fully committed. Bottom line is that the teams with player depth are the most likely to succeed.
  18. I suspect that the Bulldogs of 2020 are going the way of last year’s Demons - from highly rated to big fails. They’re lucky that the season probably will last about three rounds at best.
  19. No. There was no play on call and he was tackled to the ground.
  20. Anyone playing on Riewoldt? Whoever he is, he’s the only spectator at the ground.
  21. Probably the best season ever to acquire a nightmare injury. Nightmare injury blow to potential No.1 draft pick
  22. It looks like young Tiernan Stynes has been excelling at an other sport - basketball where he has made the Vic Metro Boys Under 16 team:- IMG_3492.MP4
  23. Like this bloke’s name for some reason. Shoulder ripped from socket, 'but I got him': No.1 pick fancy
  24. I recommend that the AFL suspends the first two rounds. Of course, it’s a co-incidence that we’re drawn to play two of the premiership favourites in those rounds.
