The anxiety for this game is absolutely killing me. Anyone else in the same boat?

The search for a big man ...
And yet Clarkson just named both Ceglar and McEvoy against Richmond tomorrow night.

Key tactical issues v Geelong
It's Simple. Keep Hawkins to 3 goals or less, we win the game.

Bernie Vince Retires
The exact type of bloke you want in your football club. Didn't really want to come to us, but was very serviceable and provided a much needed laugh and leadership through a tough time of footy. Great appointment by Roos and no doubt our great culture we have now can be reflected with what Bernie brought. Onya Berns.

Changes v Geelong - Elimination Final
With Tyson's improved form as of late, would him getting up for the game be as good as what I think it should be? Or are other supporters in the same camp of it being much of a muchness if he's fit or not?

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Hogan for Cerra + 1st rounder. 1st rounder to GWS for Shiel. Happy with that. (Only if Hogan entertains wanted to be traded)

Slamming Sam Frost
This is where season ending injuries to important blokes like Lever really have a silver lining. If our backline remained healthy and firing on all cylinders, I doubt Frost ever gets back in our best 22 and playing the sort of footy that has seem him become one of the most improved players of 2018 in the entire league. He has been an absolute revelation with his closing speed, spoiling, and his run off half back we can now confidently say Frost is the gorilla backman with x factor we were desperately hoping he'd become.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I think one thing people are forgetting is that key forwards do not demand the current as they once did. Deals like the Boyd trade inflated their worth, but now Richmond and Collingwood are quickly proving that they aren't needed for a premiership tilt. Even if we decided to put Hogan on the trade table, he'd command a first round pick. Nothing more, nothing less. Gone are the days were people sold the farm for one key position player.

You don't need all our players to be stars to win flags. Just a couple and the rest all role players, look at Richmond. Do you think blokes like Lambert, Castagna, Riolio, Mcintosh, Broad, Townsend, Caddy, Vlastuin, Ellis, Astbury, Short, Grimes are all stars? No, they are role players. That's what ANB is. A role player, and he will eventually be one of our 22 who will help deliver a flag.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHARLIE SPARGO
I was in shock when he shrugged Marcus Adams off in a marking contest. Very unlucky not to grab it as it bounced off his chest, but he actually two-arm stiffed armed him over. Was incredible.

Run home to Finals - 2018
When will people understand that some of our best footy is interstate when our backs are against the wall? I don’t know about you, but I’m more confident against teams like Adelaide and Geelong away than I am against GWS at the MCG. We travel very well and were unlucky against Port who have proven to be a very good team at Adelaide Oval, the only team we have lost to interstate this year. Beating the Lions at the Gabba was a lot harder in retrospect than what most thought. The Melbourne team I know is the one that always proves me right. Lose to St Kilda on our home turf, but look like first class against a harder opponent on their ground. Expect at least one 30+ point win against Geelong, Adelaide and or West Coast. Go Dees.

Angus Brayshaw
Very sensible for Gus to play out the season and up his market value. Imagine if he signed a contract extension at the start of the year versus now. Would be a 200k pay gap... Most likely juicing $ from his contract as much as he can before putting pen to paper if he continually proves his consistent form and ability, and rightly so.

It's not the be all and end all if he chases money and goes to Freo to play with his brother. At least he has built up some huge currency. Would have hated to offload him for cheap and then Gus showing what he's doing now over there and we got back peanuts.

New CEO - Gary Pert
Thanks for the insight Die Hard Demon. I've unfortunately heard the same things and has created a huge sense of tension and uneasiness internally. I don't care what anyone says, but the fish rots from the head. This has caused an indirect impact on the playing group whether we like it or not. Standby for further news about this which will come out in the media sooner or later.

Delisting, Trade and FA discussion 2018
My mail is that we are looking heavily into out of favour Mitch Wallis as a free agent at seasons end.

Brendan McCartney - Moved to the bench
It must have been the decision to want to slow the game down and play a more boring brand of footy. Max Gawn touched on it in an interview as well, he said for a while we were playing boring footy and not taking the game on and playing on as much as they'd like. I'm only speculating here, but maybe McCartney was trying to foster more of a defensive mindset and Goodwin was having none if it?
