  1. Missed you guys last week. Didn't get my Demonland Poddy fix so neither me nor my old pup Jonesy got any exercise. I thought May's post game interview on channel 7 was interesting especially in regards to acknowledging the poor disposal and the turnovers that resulted and that rather than going into their shells and reverting back to long down the line after halftime they stuck to the gameplan. Thoughts?
  2. Further to this do you agree or disagree with Kingy that Hit out stats are overrated.

Wouldn't mind adding his class to our rotation but agree with Watson that he is in the rung below the upper echelon of A grade stars.
  4. Um

Imagine being a full grown adult and feeling the need to write something on a public forum criticising the way someone speaks when their own written complaint is littered with errors. Clown.
  5. When the fixture came out and I saw this block of 3 games leading into the Bye, the Back to Back Adelaide Games and a matchup against last year's Grand Finalists Brisbane I was very worried and thought we'd be lucky to escape with 1 win. My hardwired negativity, which thanks to this podcast I now have a name for, MFCSS, I anxiously feared that we could have lost the lot. Fast forward to the end of Gather Round and we collected the 2 on the road wins and are facing a Lions team that was toothless in the first few rounds and have finally found a soft Kangaroos outfit to prey on. Still we can't them lightly. For the most part they still have the personnel that took them to within a claw of having their paws on a Premiership cup. Their forward line can be potent with their talls, mediums and smalls all capable of finding the big sticks. Their midfield has a dual Brownlow medalist roaming around and they do have a solid defence. How do we go about capping off a wonderful 3 weeks so that we can sit back and relax during the Bye?
  6. Apologies for my wording. i meant to say that we got killed on the stats sheet.
  7. @binman what did you make of the fact that we got killed and should have lost the game on expected score?
  8. Welcome back Positive Lingers. Thought Ed Langdon played his best game for the Demons in a long time. Along with Windsor and Billings we have genuine weapons on either side of the ground.
  9. I was critical of our small forwards last week but I thought they played better and contributed more this week. Do you think that it had anything to do with Kozzy returning?
  10. 6. May 5. Oliver 4. Gawn 3. Billings 2. McDonald 1. Chandler

Why haven't we seen the footage of the ball hitting the camera from the camera's perspective?
  12. Forward connection, for want of a better word, was virtually non existent except for a few nice passes to the leading Fritsch. Otherwise it was just long bomb and waste all those inside 50s. It’s certainly not panic stations but I am starting to panic.
  13. I was beginning to lose faith in Sparrow and I thought he stood up after 1/4 time and had an excellent game kicking 3 goals. We need a big year from him given Gus’ retirement and Clarry’s potential absence.
  14. So much love for this kid. Forever a Demon.
  15. Thanks you for another great listen. Really appreciate it guys.
  16. Oh Balderdash. If say the coach or the CEO or the President took the responsibility that you calling for you'd be the first one to stand up and whine that we are even more in the [censored] now.
  17. Great to have Footy and the Demonland Podcast back. What did you think of our small forward brigade? With the exception of Pickett I wasn't overly impressed and I thought Chandler in particular was MIA. Almost every time the ball hit the deck inside our 50 it went out with very little effort. Would love to see the inside 50 tackle stats.
  18. I'll be very interested to see what our tall forward set up will be in these practice matches. Tom Lynch will not be playing for the Tiges so there is a chance to try a defender or two up forward just to work on connection in case we need to break glass at some point this season.

Count me in but I don't think any ruckman worth his weight in gold would consider coming to the Dees after the Grundy mess.
  20. Thanks to all the Track-watchers for all your excellent reports. I'm a desk jockey and getting down to training is not an option so having all these reports is like boundary riding.
  21. Wondering if you have had a good look at our fixture for 2024 and what are you thoughts? Thoughts on the Opening Round concept? The back to back Adelaide games? No Friday night games. Lots of travel. No Geelong.
  22. Looking forward to tonight's podcast as I am each and every week. How concerned, or not, are you that Darcy Moore and the Golden Boy Nick Daicos will be back this week? Moore is probably on the edge of when he would normally return from a hamstring injury but if Nick Daicos is back from his supposedly 6 week knee injury it will be about 2 weeks earlier than projected. Are they rushing him back?

In what was a dead rubber for the Dees I was really impressed with the way we finished out the match. After the Swans took control of the match after half time booting 3 or 4 unanswered goals the Dees really put the foot down and applied the pressure to arrest momentum and regain control of the match. Hopefully this is just a little taste of what is to come. Someone posted this in the Post Match thread and it really highlights my point.

We really need Fritta back this week so he can get some touch before finals.
