Great to have Footy and the Demonland Podcast back. What did you think of our small forward brigade? With the exception of Pickett I wasn't overly impressed and I thought Chandler in particular was MIA. Almost every time the ball hit the deck inside our 50 it went out with very little effort. Would love to see the inside 50 tackle stats.

I'll be very interested to see what our tall forward set up will be in these practice matches. Tom Lynch will not be playing for the Tiges so there is a chance to try a defender or two up forward just to work on connection in case we need to break glass at some point this season.

Count me in but I don't think any ruckman worth his weight in gold would consider coming to the Dees after the Grundy mess.

Moore is probably on the edge of when he would normally return from a hamstring injury but if Nick Daicos is back from his supposedly 6 week knee injury it will be about 2 weeks earlier than projected. Are they rushing him back?

In what was a dead rubber for the Dees I was really impressed with the way we finished out the match. After the Swans took control of the match after half time booting 3 or 4 unanswered goals the Dees really put the foot down and applied the pressure to arrest momentum and regain control of the match. Hopefully this is just a little taste of what is to come. Someone posted this in the Post Match thread and it really highlights my point.

We really need Fritta back this week so he can get some touch before finals.

Thought Lever had a terrific game yesterday. Was marking everything and took a fantastic one on one mark when the game was in the balance that really kick started us. More of this please. Whilst Tommo didn’t have the best of games do you think Lever’s great game may have had something to do with playing 3 talls down back? There will be a lot of talk about the make up of the forward line going into finals but would love to get your thoughts on the make up of the back 6/7 in particular whether we play 3 talls. Loving the podcast guys. My Tuesday morning commute is made much easier each week so kudos to you. Thoughts on Clarrie's return game tonight? I thought he was a little rusty early as was to be expected and the slippery conditions didn't help but he ramped up later in the match.

The Petty injury looked nasty. I imagine he will be out for the rest of the season. Who will fill his spot?

I have a strong suspicion that Max will be rested/managed this week and Grundy will ruck. I think Viney's shoulder could do with a week off too. Sparrow and Grundy in. Max and Viney out.

I thought James Jordon played one of his best games for the club. He is way too good for Casey and I really hope he gets a good crack at it especially whilst Clarrie is out. Hope they can find a spot for him later in the season.

Any word on why Petty was subbed off. Looked sore on 1 or 2 occasions after clashes. If he’s out does Tomo come in? Who matches up who on their forwards?
