  1. Learn to kick a goal FFS
  2. Feels like I'm watching the 2023 finals
  3. That is terrible umpiring
  4. That quarter will come back to haunt us. Should be up by 5 goals. It's not just the set shots, it's the wastefulness anywhere in the forward half. Scott is a better coach than Goodwin, wouldn't be surprised to get jumped by Geelong in the third and we won't have enough firepower to respond.
  5. Plenty of good pubs on Swan Street. If you get there early (5-5.30) you could possibly get a walk in, but they can get busy and crowded which sometimes isn't the most comfortable for eating. Corner Hotel is a classic but probably the busiest of them all. The Posty does good pizzas, but small so it gets crowded. Richmond Social isn't as nice as those two, but has the most room for a comfy bite to eat inside - you should be able to book a table now. London Tavern is another that gets busy but it's great. If you can be bothered to leave a bit earlier, try a pub a few stops away. Prahran Hotel and College Lawn are both minutes walk from Prahran station, which is two stops from Richmond.
  6. I don't love Hunter, but I would be OK to see him in the team. We're too heavy on inexperienced players at the moment. His disposal sucks sometimes, but he is tough and reliably racks up 20 touches. He is what we need the next few weeks.
  7. No No No Poor on field, poor off field.
  8. First game I saw May play was Round 2 2019. We lost by 80 points to Geelong, in Geelong, in the pouring rain. May did his groin and wasn't seen again until Round 12. Fair to say he has come a long way since then. Still not perfect off field, but damn he is a good footballer. If he had been drafted to a club other than Gold Coast, and had the right attitude from a young age, his career might be spoken about amongst the likes of Rance and Scarlett.
  9. Born in WA so you would imagine only a lowball offer would get him to leave. West Coast would be stupid not to give him a great offer, they need good senior players and leadership while they develop. Yeo has been outstanding this year, a good role model for Reid.
  10. We are gonna get smacked the next two weeks.
  11. Laurie is my least favourite players on our list, but if he was ever going to find his feet and confidence, it should be against this young and depleted Richmond side. My bigger concern is that Billings will have a good game, hiding the fact that he goes missing against tough experienced teams and keeping his spot for Geelong.
  12. There's already a racecourse, train station, high school and university right there. If you're a local and you didn't already have complaints, I don't see why this would suddenly create complaints.
  13. Excited at the possibility of McAdam playing. Listed last week as 1-2 weeks. With this being a Wednesday game, you would think we hold off. Next VFL after that is May 5th so another 11 days for him to get ready. Couple of weeks later and he could get up for the trip to Perth...
  14. Well I got that wrong, but they look bloody identical.
  15. Saw the name Noah Howes mentioned as someone who could be considered for the MSD. Had a look and he is Blake's brother. 195cm forward playing for South Adelaide in the SANFL.
  16. I just pulled it all from AFL tables, I don't think that has efficiency. You could do a basic G:B ratio but it wouldn't have out on the full. The analysis would be better if it was 'average goals per game' for the first 50 games, rather than goals per season. It's crude analysis but still highlights that JVR has started well.
  17. Below are some of the better KPFs in the game today. Just players who were drafted in the last 6~ years, and the stat is goals kicked in their first four seasons (from debut). We all want, and need, JVR to be taking a leap this year - but patience is required. Season # 1 2 3 4 JVR 28 M. King 22 38 52 28 B. King 17 25 47 40 McDonald 9 15 32 Curnow 5 20 34 18 McKay 3 21 26 21 Daniher 3 28 34 43 Naughton 2 32 15 47 Larkey 0 26 14 42 Allen 0 20 18 28 Average 9 25 30 33 For reference, old mate Weideman kicked 3, 3, 10, 11....
  18. Rainy Thursday night against an underperforming interstate team, wouldn't be surprised to see a poor crowd.
  19. We're good at ruining them though
  20. Wonder if Kolt debut as a sub is on the cards, with Woewodin coming into the 22.
  21. Early days is the key here. His start with the Dees has been no worse than what it was for Steven May. Adding Hayward alongside Fritsch and Pickett sounds familiar... Gunston, Bruest and Rioli...
  22. Woewodin in for Kozzy Hunter sub No other changes unless forced by injury
  23. If Brisbane play like they did on the weekend, we should win easily. From the bits I watched, Hipwood and Cameron are still out of form and Daniher mostly got his goals from easy opportunities. I'm glad we have a bye after this, if we can a win it's a perfect time to give our sore boys a rest. Hopefully we have VFL in the bye week?
