Just looked at flights. The cheapest I could find on a single return ticket was for a 60-hour round-trip leaving tomorrow for just $3693.79, if anyone has spare coin. I'll buy the luker-warm Kentfield hot-dogs.

Peter Rohde has obviously got our back, casually letting slip to Jay Clark that Kozzie loves the Darwin weather to stifle any attempted Tasmania rumours when Pickett's contract is next up for renewal.

Eat a bag Deloitte. So it seems Jack's yeah-nah which launched 1000 posts on Sunday was probably a case of having already signed, but then remembering the press release wouldn't be announced until early in the week following the captain's. No way Jack managed to write a 400-word missive in under three days.

Can you give some context of why you think posting this tweet adds to the conversation? A lot of people tweet a lot of stuff, and some on here might not know who this person is. And also might have some strong opinions on it.

Yes, and Hunter. Unfortunate given the opposition (and the current high emotions), but we need an 'admirable effort' tank next week, or we might get stuck in early draft no-man's-land again. The opportunity to get below GC and the Saints, especially with the latter's potential free agency compo, could make a significant difference to our future. Winning or losing won't change the mind of any disgruntled employees or possible future ones.

There are also some lovely national parks northeast across the border if you have the time.

I heard it was a guy with track-marks spotted in the MCG bathroom with a Collingwood scarf on, which was covered in pie sauce.

I like Trac's proactive approach. Unhappy with our direction so he goes out and recruits Lauchie Neale. Should make for a decent ANB replacement.

Fair warning. Anyone not currently demonstrating the requisite levels of cynicism might open themselves up to accusations of being a troll, or even a happy-clapper.

Hang out there until at least cyclone season for something interesting to happen, and then deal with that 100-year flop when it seems so close.
-
Worst mathematical [censored]-tease in my life-time. Win by ten goals and wait for our three major competitors to slip against specifically the bottom three teams. Then see what happens.

Checking in from Ghent, fitting as possibly one of the major circus capitals of the world. Go Dees!

ANB has notched up over 100 games for the club, so with the surprise news that he has sired we're now in the running to take our club to the next level with a triple- or even double-double-barrel father-daughter representative in the future. Here's hoping the family get along well with the Powell-Pepper clan, and that they're progressive as to nomenclature, which is de rigueur here in Portugal. My partner has a A4 piece of paper for a passport to fit all her names in.

It looks like @WERRIDEE might be in for a busy off-season keeping the team-sheets up to date.

Just got back from one fine specimen in Picos de Europa. Not much snow around this time of year though.

Take the Australian breakdancing approach and hand the baton to Koltyn.

Spare a thought for those of us living in Europe. Can't even book a local ski-trip.
-
Dear Demonland HR. Please accept my absence from today's match at the MCG, as I'm currently stuck in this escalating summer situation in Europe. I will however be checking in from Aljezur (not the TV station).
-
Demonland with a bunch of sock puppet accounts keeping the clicks up. Why oh why did we let Bedford go?

My love-hate relationship with the [censored]-bullet continues.

Also, I'm guessing some of our members are keeping others in a cage. Not looking at you @Bitter but optimistic.

I'm in Sintra, in Portugal, and it's a bit cloudy here today. If I head to the airport now I might make our next game.

Checking in from Fuente De - around 1,100 metres above sea level. Any views I express in this thread will therefore be lofty. Go Dees!
-
Checking in from a music festival in Basque country. (#not a humblebrag, but maybe a bit probably ). The last two days I've seen Massive Attack, Air, Underworld and Prodigy (and Grace Jones). There has to be some tea leaves among that lot. ?

Brisbane should change their official airline partner from Virgin to Jetstar. A million bucks sounds about right for what you have to pay extra when you rock up for your flight with Huge McCluggage.
