Little disappointed that there didn’t seem to be any leading in the forward line. Looks like that’s Roo‘s job, and if he ain’t there, nobody has the correct tickets to do it. Cancelled everything today. As discussed, they promptly offered a deal. $15 off for six months. I folded – mainly because the trials/scratchies are coming up and I want to see them televised. Lazy I know. Feel like I might have got another offer if I didn’t take the first one. I’ll try that next time.

The increases in kayo subscription costs are ridiculous considering the Dodgy quality of the product. As someone said, the AFL club prices of last year have been corrected and are now all $350. From what I can see, it might be better to join a NRL or NBL team. Looks like I should be able to get one for $240 – $195. Still looking. Hopefully find something cheaper.

Look Patrick, leave it alone! If you keep fiddling with it, it will fall off. Rule changes that have been suggested recently seem designed to make the game look like an u10 lightning carnival. Great, if you want the season wrapped up in a fortnight. And while we’re at it, let’s get rid of the nominated rucks. Another u10 rule we didn’t need.

All I’m saying is that would normally be done in consultation with a coach - someone experienced like a former player who was skilled in this position. The general skill level of ruckmen has fallen off a cliff in recent years - that’s why they all seem to be 210cm with low skills. If the club can’t provide that then he needs to see who he can buy some coffees for - Moore, Madden, Newman etc.

Do we even have a ruck coach? The absolute last thing I would do to win a hit out is to stand next to the modern day equivalent of Mick Nolan – the “galloping gasometer”. TC might be a nice bloke, but it appears that Verrall is always standing on the left side, being held down by somebody with 30+ more pre-seasons, and not using any of his leap. Say what you like about Stafford, at least they practised jumping for the ball. Looks like they have now put him on the injury list. Probably due to being the only one left potentially able to wrestle probably the strongest guy in the AFL. Just seems a bit stupid, and not really teaching him anything.
