Yeah. Definitely a few things rumbling this morning. Definitely be fine by tonight though. Might need a hair of the parrot.

Actually, I might have one as well - to toast our rise up the ladder without playing a second. Cheers

Same dog, different leg. Same leg, different dog/bear/parrot

I so want them to go 0–6.
  5. If we put McAdam and Sestan on the ball, and put Fullerton and Verrall at half forward, we could set a record for the tallest forward line ever. I reckon it’s worth considering.
  6. Yze playing!! I’m happy it’s school holidays

That was wonderful! The Pies kick a goal, and everything goes silent. Should happen all the time.

    BT?

Pies to loose. Pies too loose. Pies too lose. Pies Toulouse. Pies to lose.
  10. I don’t mind this selection too much. It surprised me, but mostly, because I did not think Petty would recover so quickly. He surprised me the last time I saw him ruck as he has obviously done the job as a junior. He jumps early and tries to initiate contact. This is good as Draper, despite his size, is not fond of people jumping into him, and has not grown up in the role, so does not protect himself adequately. Petty’s marking is also a real feature of his game, Petty also seems to have a bit of mongrel about him, which you need in this position if you are going to wrestle most of the game and try to dominate them in the contest. In wet conditions, it doesn’t matter how big or small players are. Either they can or they can’t pick up a ground ball when it’s slippery. Looking forward to it.
  11. …. Playing Petty in the ruck; Goodys running amok! He’s lost it big time - I can’t make it rhyme. He used to look good to me But now I find him Simply unpredictable?
  12. Byju i believe they have stopped the sponsorship, but I still can’t see the Aust market embracing it to that extent.
  13. Absolutely, they should, but can the AFL survive without it? I don’t see the diversity of products that filled the F2A coffers when tobacco and alcohol ads were banned. Will we see educational products offered instead?
  14. If F2A can somehow marry the concepts of MAFS/farmer with the footy commentary, they might be on a winner. The lack of quality journalists, and the prerequisite of only former players being allowed to commentate, has left a garbled, ESL level of commentary that makes you check the audio settings. The F2A and pay channels have usually pilfered ABC trained broadcasters and journalists, but it’s been a long time since Drew hosted The Winners and the well has run dry. Speaking of winners, I think the gravy train will continue as long as the AFL continues to be partially owned by the betting industry - they can’t now exist without it.
  15. Absolutely. Any parent bringing young kids to a cold, wet, night game need to queue up with the presidential candidates to have their cognitive assessment test immediately.
  16. He’s getting more experience. Against Carlton, he was getting good position, but was sometimes pushed out (illegally?). I thought he also did well against Richmond. From what I saw against Brisbane, and Darcy Fort, who is very highly regarded, he at least broke even. His stats around the ground look to be affected by Brisbane having 3 good rucks. He’s a competitive beast, so who knows what could happen if they show some faith in him? Having said that, Fullarton is in the box seat. His experience counts for something.

It’s a matter of risk versus reward. It looks and smells like things have improved, but I’m not going to risk sitting on the crapper for the next few days, just to find out. I can confirm that the chips have improved.
  18. Everyone played their part last weekend. I can’t see anyone being dropped because of form. Selection is going to be more difficult than it has in awhile.
  19. Like $500k for the top ones? As long as they were accountable and regularly reviewed, and dropped if out of form. i’m pretty sure there will be people queueing up if the job paid like that.
  20. My bad. I thought he was subbed out after failing the HIA?
  21. Heeney’s pretty unlucky here but unless the backs can spoil like the 90s, stray backhands from forwards won’t be tolerated either. i’m still getting my head around Zerk-Thatcher not being suspended for knocking out Naughton, but I can’t be bothered looking for a replay. Good to see there can still be accidents I guess.
  22. Wouldn’t be surprised if they still get the medal in Sydney.

    Not Pearce or Brayshaw then?
  24. Unless he’s headhunted by the AFL for a certain area they have been having trouble getting to grips with? I think the kids are pretty well grown up so he should be able to re-locate. Might have to leave his dozen Hungry Jack’s franchises with a management trust for awhile.
  25. Nah. He just goes around kicking them in the leg. Just as bad as Darcy Moore.
