Has anyone else noticed that the Advantage rule has changed interpretation? it seems that simply all the players stopping and requesting clarity on the free is no longer a problem. As long as one of the team wants to take the advantage. 5–10 Seconds later, “Play on”, No problem.

Drove me crazy by coming off his man and watching them take/drop marks while he crumbs at the front - 3 + times 🤯 And he didn’t even get the crumbs

Yeah, he played well against the Lions. Overall we played well and were very unlucky to lose from the ball out the back in the last quarter.

I’m with you there. Hopefully that becomes a thing when some of these young fast midfielders add their speed to the old heads already there.

I haven’t analysed the game in detail, but it seemed that we were keen on not letting Callahan and the other GWS Mids get free and run riot through the middle. Worked for 3/4 quarters. Should be interesting next time.

Or May might come back in, and TMac goes forward/ruck?

I just don’t think that the GWS back line had it all their own way. Especially considering their domination the previous week. I think that our forwards competed quite well. When you throw in a few extra crumbers over the next few weeks - Kozzy, Spargs or Melky - and I think we can be positive about this season.

It was a great first game out apart from the result. Useful lesson in trying some new players that stepped up. Looking forward to getting a couple of medium sized forwards back in the near future. Should be a successful year for us. Also, the much vaunted marking of the GWS backline was not able to take many marks either

Didn’t seem to bother Brown that much.

Nah I was impressed with both of their tackling and pressure.

Tried some passes into the forward line for most of the game- Except when it should have been done in the last minutes. It gave them the ball x2. Good signs though.
