  1. If Carlton don't pull their finger out and the Tigers and Sun get up they will be 14th after the weekend.
  2. Sydney are a shadow of the team they were last year which does not say much about Carlton.
  3. Leeds supporter looking for a miracle this weekend. Need three upset results to stay up and just can not see it happening. And if they do somehow stay up it's only going be a repeat next season.
  4. Oh the nightmares, drove all the way down to the MCG in 1999 to see Melbourne take on bottom placed Fremantle on a Friday night. Easy win coming up, only to see Tony Modra decide to have a night out at our expense. That was along long drive home. Why is that game still stuck in my head.
  5. Hate Carlton but maybe let them win tonight to get it out of their system. Still don't rate the saints but the Hawks have their season quota now Narrm have to win, the train ride home is just to long otherwise Cats will win but only because it's at home Suns to get it done for Dew, F/U Hardwick Bombers. AFL has a comp where you pick one winner a week, different team each week. If only I had picked the W/C opponent each week. Tigers to get the new coach bounce against Port. No stopping the Pies just yet but it will come. Crows were too bad to be true last week and the Lions are due to drop a game.
  6. Anyway we can't boo it will confuse JVR.
  7. Would rather we kicked the first 15 goals and then just laughed when he gets near the ball.
  8. Harmes played well in the VFL last weekend but very surprised Jordan is out again.
  9. Do they do one of these about us as well.
  10. It's only a kill if the coach is sacked.
  11. Sorry I put the temp in the date spot.
  12. Melbourne long range weather forecast June 12th top 14 degrees and wet. Not what we want to see.
  13. Breaking: Hawthorn chief executive Justin Reeves has resigned from his position at the helm of the Hawks. And so it begins. In a statement on Wednesday afternoon, Hawthorn said that Reeves had told the board he needed “to prioritise his mental health and wellbeing and spend more time with family”.
  14. Have we ever had a sold out home and away game before. I know we had 99,000 at a game but back then they just kept squeezing people in.
  15. So if I have this right. As a reserved seat member I don't have to pre book, just scan my membership for the Kings Birthday game on the day.
  16. I don't have a problem with Hunter being suspended, I have a problem with the AFL picking and choosing which players to rub out. Ie Daicos this week. I don't want to see him rubbed out but it is the AFL who said THE AFL will introduce legislation immediately to give the Match Review Panel the power to suspend players for stomach and jumper punches. the new rules would see such incidents graded at a higher impact level. So it's simple suspend everybody or suspend nobody. Disappointing to see Riewoldt and Howe "expect it from Howe" suggest Hunter deserved to be rubbed out last night.
  17. Has a team ever made finals after the coach has been fired or quit. I don't think they are good enough but I can see the Tigers winning their next four games.
  18. Would love to see someone come in for Oliver and make the club think twice about a straight swap back in a few weeks. Don't get me wrong Oliver is straight back in but it's time someone did a Bowey "2021". Nice to see Kade Chandler has started talks on a new contract with the dees. And if we don't appeal Hunter's ban would love to see Langdon back on the other wing for a week.
  19. The Tribunal has become a total dogs breakfast but I don't think we will appeal this.
  20. See they have used the REASONABLY word again.
  21. Lachie Hunter’s Tribunal appeal has failed. He’ll miss round 11 against Walyalup.
  22. Dees' eight points: 1. No reasonable, realistic alternative 2. Hands down in motion to gather ball until very last split second 3. Still in goalkeeping pose (left foot, left hand out) to trap the ball. Only at last split second that he begins to move 4. Doesn't go past ball 5. Rozee's actions were unusual 6. Hunter didn't have option to tackle 7. He couldn't go low and risk contact below knees 8. It would've been reckless and dangerous to stay front on and go head-first.
