Welcome to Demonland: Riley Onley
He did also have the first goal he kicked, drilled from outside 50 in the highlights melb put up…

Sparrow is not exclusively a forward - nor has he ever had a role as a small, pressure, goal scoring forward? They’re two entirely different players. JVR is a forward, you didn’t compare him to him? That’s my point

Steele and Viney are the future, so you wouldn’t necessarily NOT pick an inside mid based on that if you highly rate them - there’s every chance they just didn’t rate sharp becoming that level of inside mid and see - to your point - opportunity next year to fill a potential need

He was chosen then because he was well and truly gone by the time our next pick came around - that also indicates that several other teams were into him as well, not just Melbourne. Youre also comparing two entirely different players when referring to sparrow?

Welcome to Demonland: Latrelle Sumner-Pickett
He avg 10 disposals and kicked four goals in his debut (avg just under two for the games he played)….it may have been a reach but he has attributes we’re crying out for

The 2025 AFL Draft Thread
Silly question - why did it become pick 30?

AFL Draft 2025: Pick 30 (formerly 37)
Why did it become pick 30?

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
Totally get that - just find it odd that he said we’ll pick best avaliable rather than reach & the only mocks the have narin anywhere near the top 20 are ones that have picked up the link with Melbourne…

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
I think it’s also important for fans to not get overhyped about drafts and wanting to draft all the players in one draft - there’s every chance next draft we’re extremely thankful of having that GC pick because there’s someone else that we all love around that mark

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
Am I insane or is Narin at 7 or 8 crazy based on draft projections? Surely if we’re that into him, we’re looking at splitting a pick
-
AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
Probably need that & something else, but don’t hate it…really depends what the draft is also looking like next season - don’t want to get too caught up in going all in on one draft

Welcome to Demonland: Latrelle Sumner-Pickett
Would be boarder line malpractice to draft him at #8 - he has not had a better campaign than Dovaston & is simply being inflated on name alone here

Kudos Brad Green
Which will get a run the next few days and then that’s it saying ‘we won’t trade him’ will do nothing to reduce the noise, this removes any conjecture about whether they will or won’t & entirely changes the narrative around the story - we won’t keep getting asked questions about it as this statement is out Couldn’t disagree more on your position 👍🏼

Kudos Brad Green
We finally get a president that comes out on the front foot and essentially puts it to bed - saying a trade can happen but this is the asking price and you are complaining about that? you cannot compare this to the Oliver saga at all….bizarre opinion

Collingwood forward Ash Johnson
Haven’t watched him closely outside of him destroying us! But have friends that are pies supporters that don’t rate super highly - apparently poor defensive player and second efforts are non existent…they explain it’s why he wasn’t getting a game early as well - whilst also acknowledging the obvious positives about him… either way, I doubt he’s a player they let walk due to financial and/or contract length Issues
