We made a mistake by extending his previous contract BEFORE we knew the result of last year's finals. I believe he still had one year, this year, from the previous contract. Don't extend if we don't perform in the finals, then see how it goes in 2024. We would be having a very different discussion today. On top of that Oliver's off the field issues coincided with this whole situation.

Fritsch is not young, he's 28 I believe.

Specially Woewodin, it's a travesty. For such a young player that could become a 200 gamer for the club. Is there some lost love between Goodwin and Woewodin Sr?

Do we really see Max going strong in 2026? That's a 35/36 year old, few players reach that age group. I agree that the value of some trades is more about salary cap gains more than a compensation, agree on Salem. Not sure May would like to move elsewhere, you would think he will retire in the next couple of years.

We certainly shot ourselves on the foot with Petty. If all Adelaide rumours were true, imagine the value of draft picks we could have now? 😮‍💨

Our defensive unit is certainly stacked so I am open to Salem leaving, he's no longer a critical piece with the likes of McVee, Bowey and Rivers coming through.

Mind you every time Neal Daniher comes to the game it may be his last one, what more inspiration do the players need? If Goodwin can't do it at least do it for people like Neale Daniher and Gus!! FFS!!

Also I believe Melbourne historically is a very efficient team, winning most of their GFs. Granted we had very few in the last half century 😅

Shouldn't be let into the club anymore honestly... Delusional at best.

Even my wife mentioned this, and she just follows the footy because of me. She has to mute the TV when we play against this mob, that tells me everything I need to know about that club. And my missus is one of the most compassionate people I know, she can always see the better side of anyone...except the Collingwood mob.

That's what I said last year, there should've been a transition plan from Goodwin to Yze. It seems now that it should've happened rather sooner than later.

At this point even an interim coach just for the rest of the season would be better, we are kidding ourselves if we think we can make the 8 or seriously contend this season. Then work out the replacement, maybe one of the assistant coaches in Geelong or Sydney?

Not all of the supportes are "soft". But regardless of that, our players should be more self aware.
