Don't get me wrong I love Clarry as much as the next guy, however his kicking can be off sometimes and it is not as damaging as Petracca's ( IMO ). Still an elite player and deserves a Brownlow medal.

Not an awful kick, I think at least above average. However he lacks consistency, if he can fix that he'll be a very damaging player for the opposition.

What's our 'pass mark' for the first 5 rounds of the season? I think 4 - 1 would be great but maybe 3 - 2 is not too bad considering the fixture?

Did he play alongside Farmer at all? I can imagine how great a fwd line of Lyon, Farmer and Jakovich would be! and then throw in Neitz.

Apparently Fritsch isn't playing today again? Should we be worries about him for R1? He is easily our 3rd or 4th most important player (50+ goals the last 2 seasons).

Sorry I was trying to support your statement about the "happiness" element on this. As said before, they are professional AFL players, don't want to live interstate then don't becomes an AFL player. I guess they also have the academy route if they wish to remain in the same city?

They are professional players, sorry but sentimentalism is not part of professional sports (or any profession for that matter).

That's why the AFL needs to make changes for rookie contracts, at the very minimum someone like LJ should have stayed 5 years with the club before being free to leave.

If the decision is purely based on football, he should stay.... However players tend to be too complex individuals these days so ... Who knows??? Add to that the fact that the AFL draft system is a joke (see JHF last season)🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

No matter what happens in the end, I hope the club is raising concerns with the AFL about the fragility of draft picks. In my view it is unfair for teams to invest and risk in young talent, just to lose those young players for not even a top 5 pick.

They already are, just watch the sports shows or sports news and you'll see odds for every single NBA game or NFL (or any league for that matter) ... I would say the US maybe a bit more subtle on how they do their advertising, however it is all around you if you pay enough attention.
