  1. Maybe a bit more Zeno than Descartes. Control the controlables.
  2. It will have a big impact on what you think about it though.
  3. Yes they did delay from normal timing. Monday squads are usually announced Thursday or Friday evening and finalised Saturday 5pm. The most recent example Easter Monday: https://www.geelongcats.com.au/news/1300645/afl-squad-selection-easter-monday
  4. JJ will be sub and he's the right choice all around.
  5. Half of Collingwood's premiership players are out.
  6. Jimmy Munro on fire!
  7. nice smother on the mark from Sestan
  8. Agree, behind the goals is the best view. GA - PRE Level 4 or 2A if it's open to GA and not raining
  9. How are they going to use it though? The Collingwood players know in their heart that it's true.
  10. Assuming Adam Tomlinson plays tomorrow - Hibberd for Bowey the change, he has a great opportunity to establish himself with May and Lever and put himself in the frame for an elusive flag. He has the trial by fire with McKay, Cox/Mihocek then Hawkins/Cameron but if he can weather the storm then he can put MFC and himself in a great position.
  11. I believe that's Kye Turner listed there
  12. AFL Fantasy & Supercoach
  13. Is the Collingwood VFL team published somewhere? That would be interesting to see.
  14. Maybe Melksham? Jordon should be sub and Melksham provides some flexibility, could go forward or be sub if Jordon is required in the 22.
  15. How do you know all this stuff?
  16. No Smiling Assassin, no Petracca Gone Wrong and no Howe Didn't I Win The Car even the ledger up.
  17. Maybe so, we'll see.
  18. Unsure who this change is for - Clarrie didn't play last week. Harmes needs replacing as sub and that should be JJ. Otherwise it's only Bowey as mandatory out and Hibberd is confirmed in.
  19. People frequently rightly complain about the meaningless disposal effectiveness stats as pointed out in the article. It's good to see someone trying to do it better.
  20. I think threat rating is skewed favourably for players in the forwardline, there's less possessions in a scoring chain involving their kick compared to backline players.
  21. watchAFL should be free for Kayo subscribers - I had the same limitation when in Japan at the start of the season.
  22. That's basically correct, Expected threat is how damaging (or risky) the kick type is, threat rating is about the result - does the kick become part of a scoring chain. Kade Chandler employs threatening (and risky) kicks with good results. Steven May and Michael Hibberd go safe long down the line but Hibbo's result in more effective scoring chains. Unsurprisingly in the article it shows Collingwood high in Expected threat kicks (#1). More surprising to me is that MFC are high on this measure too (#3).
  23. There's an opportunity for the receiver to handball to Daicos and shepherd Kossie ... A likely outcome in this scenario is that the receiver doesn't handball to Daicos which could be a win.
  24. You could try clicking through to the article, even use the link I posted above ...
