  1. I didn't see the game but is it possible Kossie was "lacking his usual exuberance" because he'd kicked 0.5 at one stage? That can be disexuberating and leave you unexuberated.
  2. Yes but as @Jaded No More and @jnrmacposted it could equally mean we know Kossie is going. Note that we signed Angus long term probably around the time we knew Jackson was going. Anyway, absolutely tremendous news that Riv has signed on!
  3. Max Gawn sure, but Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver. I'll Ibe quite happy if Fremantle continue to flounder and we can pick up Zane Duursma or similar this year.

And surpassing Hawthorn's legendary pet memberships, think about the OPPORTUNITY for an Aquatic Creatures membership category for all those millions of submarine Melbournians in the south-west quadrant of your map!
  5. I'm hoping they become completely ungruntled.
  6. Viney plays as defensive mid at the CBs to allow Oliver and Petracca to attack. That role requires a high level of "footy IQ"
  7. I know someone who worked for Sportsbet. The multis were their biggest profit makers. Now I suspect "bet with mates" has taken over - multis on steroids.
  8. I expect that TMac has come in for BBB and will therefore play forward with Petty and we'll go with the same set-up back as last week - Lever and May. Otherwise Tomlinson would come in ahead of TMac if we wanted a tall back. If things go pear shaped due to in game injury or some WC tall forwards getting off the leash then Petty or TMac can go back. Kossie has come into the midfield mix in the 22 for JJ, clearly the FD continue to rate Sparrow ahead of JJ as they have consistently for more than 18 months.
  9. That's what they said about Scott Thompson.
  10. Triple Premiership player Tom Sparrow?
  11. Emergencies Melksham, Tomlinson and Dunstan named, but Jordon isn't so that's probably confirmation that he's MFC sub on Sunday. If they line up as selected it's a bit surprising we're only taking 23 to WA.
  12. Currently correctly show Geelong pick one.
  13. Yeah, I'm happy I don't.
  14. Has a Scott Thompson feel about it.
  15. There's plenty of stupid stuff said there too but committing it to writing is extra stupid
  16. TBC in that context does not mean "to be considered this week" - that's "test". It means "return date to be considered". Have a look at the other players with that description. It's synonymous with TBA - dumb I know. Howe is many weeks away.
  17. I couldn't be there so foolishly visited the gameday thread for some insight. There's really no excuse or explanation for the stupidity posted in there except for stupidity.

Cameron 8-10 weeks, probably back after the bye. Will make KBW interesting - "knees-up" Cox will be in for a workout.

The Collingwood ruck crisis is real IMO. With Cameron, Cox and Begg all out for multiple weeks, it's all very well to talk about using Frampton, McStay or Johnson, but that just hurts them in other areas, especially back using Frampton with Howe already out.
  20. We had 8 defenders in the selected 22 so Rivers and/or Brayshaw needed to play midfield minutes. For selection I'd bring Kossie and either TMac or Tomlinson in for Melksham and BBB into the 23. Then it's up for grabs whether we go tall or small with the sub.
  21. At least there was no panic in our game day thread in the 2nd and 3rd quarter ...

8.3 to 8.6 since quarter time - sounds disastrous!

    OK

Cox out injured. It could get interesting if Cameron gets an injury too.
