  1. Yes but that decision will be entirely JJ's and FA starts before trade. Could there be a direct conversation with JJ prior to this that Harmes is leaving and his chances will increase?
  2. Thanks very much Luci that worked
  3. How can I find out my barcode for Ticketek ticket purchase if I only have the online membership and don't have the physical card?
  4. I think TMac is probably our best option of a lot of NQR choices. He provides the most flexibility if May or Lever get an in game injury.
  5. Pretty keen to see the remainder of the fixture released. I'm going to Alice Springs, it would be nice to know when our match is.
  6. Fritsch did need to improve his defensive efforts some time back and he did so and now I agree he has reverted. But I think you need to take into consideration that he's hampered by injury reading between the lines of @WalkingCivilWar posts. His performance is affected by this, possibly more than other players, but that's what you get. We could leave him out to recover and play say Joel Smith in his place but I expect the FD believe we have enough tall forward experimentation going on and want to keep one variable constant.
  7. 3% of total annual turnover of $10M supported by a weekly turnover and bank of $200K. The sports betting cycle naturally falls weekly. You're not going to have the whole bank in one bet, it will be spread over multiple bets, but yes if everything goes horribly wrong you could lose the bank so you probably need double just in case, that's why I said "order of magnitude". The bottom line is, as Binman and his mate say, you need to be good at it. If you are, then it's more likely that everything will win in the weekly cycle than everything will lose. I'm no good at it so won't be trying.
  8. I guess for a $10M turnover, that's weekly blocks of $200K total bets so that's the order of magnitude of the total bank you'd need. If you can make 3% that's $300K. The advantage of gambling over other investments is the fast turnaround of results. It may only be 3% but in reality it's 3% per betting cycle which could be 3% per week which is actually 150% per year.
  9. Over what duration?
  10. How does this work @binman? Pros only remain Pros by winning more often than not, that means, of course, that casual punters are the ones funding the betting companies. Do you know roughly what percentage of money in the pool is from Pros and also what sort of ROI on their stake are they looking for over the duration?
  11. @WalkingCivilWar - with it being a Hawthorn home game is the DA at the Punt Road end or the Ponsford end. Do Hawthorn take the Ponsford end for home games like Collingwood? I want to set at the DA end.
  12. You mean like GPS data, turnover stats and goal assist stats?
  13. IMHO Retain Disco with Petty forward. Hibberd in, Gus to the midfield rotation and JJ to the sub (nothing against James Harmes who I think has been a good sub the last two weeks) J.Smith for JVR if he doesn't get off - may as well have a look at him forward at this stage. But that means Harmes, Spargo, Laurie and Salem don't have match play this week ... BBB and TMac too, but maybe they can both benefit from a(nother) week off
  14. I think we want to fire our best shot in these games against Collingwood and Geelong this is the time to see if it works, and if it does - have them worrying about how to combat us while we can come up with more innovation for finals.
  15. Cheers. I want to look a bit more at numbers of stoppages per game - a quick look gives about 80, vs. number of turnovers received per game - again looks about 80 but I did see a couple of games with 60s (not MFC games). If stoppages and turnovers are roughly equal then as @binman posted, scoring from turnovers looks more fruitful. I also note that we're playing Hawthorn this week who concede the biggest scores from turnovers. Heaviest scorer vs biggest conceder. That could be interesting.
  16. Thanks very much @WheeloRatings. Is this data available in the public domain or are you buying it specifically off Champion Data?
  17. Does the ruckman get a tap out stat and tap out to advantage stat when he takes the ball out of the air?
  18. @A F @WheeloRatings - where can I find team stats for scores from turnover, scores from stoppages?
  19. Interesting that the score review can't pay a holding call against Mihocek, that's what the video clearly shows.
  20. 1.15 - Yeah except it's at weather affected Marvel Stadium ...
  21. You're not Robinson Crusoe with this allusion, but really - have a think about it, it's time it was consigned to the dustbin.
  22. No doubt it was "us" and "we" in September 2021
  23. "Front-on contact" because JVR's running with the flight of the ball. Unless he can see through the top of his head, his eyes are looking forward in the direction he's running. There's low, medium, high and severe impact. Ballard got carried off on a stretcher and didn't come back on, that's "high" impact. FWIW Chol's impact on Bowey was "medium" and he should get a week too.
  24. I don't get why people think JVR won't be suspended. https://www.afl.com.au/video/919868/injury-blow-for-suns-as-ballard-gets-stretchered-off? I love his general attack on the contest but in this instance he overstepped the line. Front-on contact, eyes not on the ball (yes he glances up early to anticipate the ball drop but from then on he's looking towards Ballard) - that's careless, high contact with high impact. That's two weeks.
