  1. You can tell he's absolutely filthy. Or "salty" to quote a few morons I've dealt with this week. Luke Beveridge would coach this side to a flag from this spot. Can Simon harness the energy for good? I worry he can't - it's not his style.
  2. Apparently they have the same manager (Brayshaw and Maynard). If I were Maynard I would have asked my manager to check in with Brayshaw and ask whether he'd be ok with me coming over to apologise in person at x time on x day. You don't just "pop in".
  3. If someone ever threatens to quit, you make them do it immediately imo.
  4. I agree, which is why he needs to lift for the team and play that role even if he isn't comfortable. He's our best shot of making it work.
  5. A male player with her skillset would be basically the perfect AFL small forward. She's Gary Ablett Jr like.
  6. The media is little more than an arm of the Collingwood cheer squad imo, as Collingwood is such a powerful driver of clicks, engagement and all the other metrics that matter to the media today.
  7. This is such a silly reason not to play Grundy. You think his opponents would be less tired playing against both him and Grundy. Either way we absolutely need Gawn's marking prowess closer to goal, and I'm willing to sacrifice some small amount of ruck dominance from him to achieve this.
  8. Considering it. My mum knows a fair few I'm sure from back in my 5-7 year old years when we lived up there. Free accommodation with a stranger who remembers me from 25 years ago but I don't remember them AND a humiliating defeat in a prelim interstate? Hello 2018 my old friend.
  9. I don't know, unlike you I can't predict the future.
  10. Preemptive congrats on your huge Pointsbet haul for next week (and the week after).
  11. I'd argue they're 2 steps closer to the last game of the year if they win too, so it's also factually inaccurate as well as being an affront to crepe paper enthusiasts everywhere.
  12. There it is - the first lead change of meaning this finals series. What a goal from Rozee
  13. Correct me if I'm wrong - there have been zero lead changes so far this finals series right (after the first quarter)?
  14. The realist says 12.5% of final 8 teams (1/8*100=12.5) win the flag, so that lines up nicely with the pessimistic view. If the realist and the pessimist are in lockstep then you've got a pretty good shot at it being real.
  15. Love the optimism Jaded. Finally - where has this Jaded No More been?
  16. 100%. People had stars in their eyes imagining a glorious rout of the Pies, but it wasn't to be and we've got a hard row to hoe now as a result. In reality this list should have finished 2nd this year and it would have been a home final vs Brisbane instead. It's all moot though anyway as we are where we are.
  17. Saints have done well to snag a goal just before half time. I so wish we could have done the same.
  18. Love your work WCW but I'm sorry to inform you the quality of the crepe paper used in each team's banner does not portent the future.
  19. Nice to see the former Melbourne forward line kicking goals 😆
  20. "Thanks mate, that'll be great for my headaches." "No worries - Wait…is that Tom Morris hiding between your couch cushions?"
  21. The fact Maynard failed to touch the ball for me is key. If he had then it would be a smother that had incidental contact. That he didn't means this was a bump and nothing else. I don't care what his intent was - the action was a bump, late, to the head.
  22. I bet on each of those occasions supporters were absolutely wrist slitting too. 5 times in 20 years. So this means 25% of flag winners in the last 20 years have taken this route. I'll take those odds.
  23. 100%. This is one of the few times the Magpies are the smallest player in the room.
  24. Ray Chamberlain would be great. Huge ego, massive interest in the game but no actual bias. Perfect for a role like this.
  25. Since you're asking the question let me throw it back to you to answer. I reckon you'll find it happens more often than you think…just not last night which is my point. Players failed to execute to the coaches instructions. Don't hand out homework. Give me the answers to the quiz since I didn't sign up for one.
