Fraught exercise, @Lucifers Hero… Just so hard to know market value for players like Rivers, Sparrow, Spargo, etc. They haven’t shown more than role player ability and consistency but that is valuable for winning flags. We have such a good list right now, we will continue to lose good players for moderate contracts…

One may play behind the ball from time to time or to halt momentum but we can clearly see the intent to push teams with height in forward line. General comment but you can agree or disagree: the inclusion of Pickett, Rivers, Spargo, and to a lesser extent Sparrow into midfield rotations and stoppage structures indicates a natural maturation of those players and of the FD to avoid the sins of last year where we seemingly had depth but no adaptability or flexibility of the roles that the depth players could play.
