  1. We are having to frontload contracts to get up to the 92.5% minimum. You have to pay someone.
  2. Isn't he a Premiership ruckman...
  3. So you want to get rid of Jamar because PJ is a better ruckman but you want PJ to play as a forward? That doesn't make any sense. And BTW, PJ is, at best, a small lead up target because he doesn't impose himself on contests. He is 200cm and 100kg but it doesn't mean a thing when you don't use your bulk and impose yourself when going for a mark. He has skills and is athletic, but he is a classic tease. Adequate at everything, good at nothing.
  4. I would trade for him with Pick 18 or Bell and 34 or Jamar. If PA baulk then pick him up in the PSD. And we are paying Cam Bruce $500k+ in 2010, so $600k for Burgoyne isn't silly. As I have said before - Gotta pay someone. There is a minimum to the cap. And Burgoyne is not PA's best player; Kane Cornes is.
  5. This is where you run past your argument and trip over. He is an injury prone dud, but played above himdelf in an injury ravaged year? Apparently, I am not allowed to much more than disagree with you or else I am a bully but I will lay down some facts for you and the general public to gorge on - Jamar is our best ruckman, Martin is a best back-up ruckman, Spencer and Meesen are raw ruckmen fighting for Jamar's spot, and Paul Johnson is a wingman in Tarzan's body - he is not a ruckman. With that in mind, Jamar is a required player and I sincerely hope that this bloke who turns 26 this month has an injury free year at the Dees next year.
  6. This thread intimates that I had a choice? I don't remember a conscious decision. All I remember are cold days at Waverley, cold days at the G, Garry Lyon, Allen Jakovich, Damien Gaspar breaking his foot while kicking out from a behind in the twos... Sorry, laughing now... What were we talking about? It wasn't really a decision to go for the Dees, but it was an easy non-decision. If that makes sense.
  7. I'm still not certain of what you have seen.
  8. ...spoil the Tee Pee?
  9. Have you read HT's jokes? Go back and re-read. Do a search. I'll wait... Yeah, not great... We all get the wrong impression on things from time to time... Thought Garland was crap. Boy is my face red.

The games that they play and the experience they get with each other is really important. And next year we're going to give young players the opportunities to grow with each other, so hopefully Watts, Strauss and Blease and the young players we draft this year will be able to play games together. That's the important thing you've got to understand and that's going to take a couple of years. If you average out 16, 17 or 18 games a year of connecting games together, then they've got to play games together to achieve it. It's the number of games we can put into the right players that is going to see us grow – that's the best and most methodical way we can plan to go forward, rather than put any big statement out there. I agree with your sentiment but those two are not our best two onballers. Davey and Moloney are, as of this minute, our best two onballers. Moloney is one you could argue but Davey is one of the best wingers in the game. He is our only star.
  12. What the hell does this mean? Aside from one or two, all this place asks is that whatever inane things people say, they back it up with a decent argument. If you would like to be patronised and insulted - go to Demonology. Otherwise, quit with the gratuitous preciousness.

You are very humble, hangon. Or at leat your opinions are... We moved on Robbo so we could attempt to fit Watts, Bate, Sylvia, Jurrah, Petterd, Martin, and Wonaeamirri into the one team to play forward. All under 24, they need time together to develop. Yes, we would kick more goals with Robbo/Lloyd in 2010, but it would negatively affect how many goals we kick in 2012, 2013 etc.
  14. Yeah, the kid with the iPhone put a few thousand 38's on here because, apparently, that number is now metaphysically tied to an attractive bloke but average footballer - Daniel Hughes. My quote about it being machine code was also removed, it was real funny, honest.
  15. Rivers can't play KPB. Not quick enough, and he is best as the loose man. Frawley and Warnock will take CHF and FF.
  16. Vital to our improvement? They're already good. The midfield to stop being crap. Now that might get us some improvement.
  17. Here's a tip - tape your ankles before a match. Here's another - keep your fingers off people's faces. Really thought Carlton knew this stuff...
  18. Jean-Luc may be a great Officer, but he is one judgemental bastard...

If I learnt anything from Men In Black it's this - A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it. Deal with that, people.
  20. That last line is too good for this site. Please remove it. It's out of place is what I was getting at, not that it was offensive. It's a little offensive. That was a joke.
  21. I did it! I managed to go back in time by spinning around really quickly! Boy am I dizzy... It was worth it though. Now to bet on the Dees winning the spoon. Not taking bets? You have made a powerful enemy today Sportsbet...

I was going for odd. And, evidently, I got there.
  23. Yes, I could tell. I have amazing telepathic powers... Kids. They'll believe anything.
  24. I sincerely hope you are. Middle aged women these days...

What happens then? Oh, I know what happens then - we get 2 shiny new midfielders that will make our other midfielders better and that makes threads like this stupid beyond belief? You're aggressive and patronising 45HG16, and I for one don't like it...
