  1. Good on you, HT. I like the anger and the passion of RR and others but sackings in April isn't just unhelpful and unrelaistic - it's not going to happen. The players will deliver the response of the club. And the coach. And how they play under him. I am not worried about the long term, or even medium term - the revamped FD was always about Craig and Misson for me. But if Neeld is wasting our time then it is a massive short term embarrassment. They were lifeless and boring and looked like they didn't want to screw up. You have to be willing to screw up to do anything of note in this life. If all you are worried about is beating your opposite number - you have already lost. The ethos of this team worry me and I hope it is an aberration and we see a better effort against Essendon and for the bulk of the season. My faith can be won back with that.
  2. Yeah, wasn't he great for the Lions on Saturday... Jamar is a dominant tap ruckman with no-one but Jones to tap to.
  3. That's unfair. He was reasonable for a FP in a team with 30 something Inside 50s.
  4. I don't why? What a story this is. A Demon reacts stupidly after goading from a Demon fan. We are bringing this nonsense on ourselves. We are tearing ourselves apart.
  5. No, he hasn't. He should take Nicholson's spot. Byrnes was fine and should stay where he is. We should go smaller in the forward line though. Selalr for Dawes. Pedersen gets a reprieve because he can back up Jamar. Howe should go into the middle. His idol shouldn't be Robbo - it should be Ryan O'Keefe. Clark, Dawes, Pedersen, Byrnes, Davey, and Sylvia.
  6. I can name about 8 players to get rid of that are OOC at the end of the year. You want to get rid of an extra 4 or 5?
  7. That is hardly a debilitating contract situation.
  8. It has been quick. 22 touches, 16 contested possessions, a goal, and he also apparently spoke to the players after the loss. With all that is going wrong I just didn't want the ineptitude of others to completely drown out a great debut from the future of the club.
  9. We brought them in to paly roles we don't have. Small forward in Byrnes and he was fine in a team that didn't get it down there enough. Rodan was less impressive but at least tried to get out of his shackles. As I said above, I am far more upset with those that have been in the team for a while.
  10. We are going to find out over the course of a season that will define his coaching career. We won't pay him out under half way through his term and there is no positives from it if we did. There is a great deal of judgement being handed down on this site of late and while I applaud the passion and anger, the players, coaches, and admin will be given this year to save themsleves and show us movement in the right direction. I am not an apologist - I am a realist. I also know that the depths we have reached yesterday can only be exacerbated by the desire for blood by the supporters. I want McLardy angry. I want the players angry. I want Neeld to realise that he has unwittingly sucked the life out of the group. Here is a great opportunity for a playing group and a coach to show what they are made of. We think they are weak, passionless, and incompetent. Completely unworthy of support and recognition as Demons. The football world thinks they are irrelevant and worthless, a mockery of the competition. Here is a chance to show that they are worth something, and that we, by extension, belong to something worth fighting for. I hope they are ready for this. They have nothing to lose - they have already lost everything.
  11. We have given 2013 all of one games evidence and we are calling for Neeld, Royal, McLardy, Schwab, and the rest of the board to be sacked (with the seeming ignorance of the fact that board members cannot be sacked). We are going to get a response next Saturday night, and while I appluad the passion, I question the evidence for a mass spilling of the MFC in April. Let's do our blood letting in October.
  12. Where was this animous last week, last month? You were a staunch Neeld backer up until The Debacle © and now you are off and leading the mob you were against not a few weeks ago. We wait to see how the players react and how they attempt to wrest back some respect and we make our important decisions without the drunk feeling of rage that is fueling Demonland right now. We do our blood spilling in October.
  13. Perhaps because those stats you have reeled off are misleading and unfair. Especially considering he was not there in 2007 and 2008... Why are you hell bent on tearing up this club after 1 round?
  14. Tanking started under Gardner and Harris in 2008 when we went for the youth policy with our list and Bailey as our coach. 2009 was the culmination of that. And if we had won 1 too many games for the third time in 7 seasons we would have been the laughing stock of the AFL (I am sure we all know what that feels like). Stop trying to reallign the past to suit an agenda - you can't spend 6 months berating the AFL for bringing this on us and then malign Schwab for being apart of what he was absolved for and what we all think was a BS investigation.
  15. We are tearing ourselves apart aren't we? A few on here seeking blood - you are overreaching. We will deal with the board and CEO at the end of the season. You don't want to follow a Mickey Mouse club? Stop forwarding cartoonish descriptions of the Demons currently working at the club, and stop trying to elicit a Mickey Mouse response from the club after 1 f___ing round. If this sh!t keeps up we can deal with it at the end of the year.
  16. That decision can be made at the end of the year. I am not willing to rule anything out - other than everyone keeps their jobs until the end of this year and then we look at our options. All of them.
  17. Play footy like you are actually happy to be out there.
  18. This is the great fallacy of the 'finished players that played awfully. It just lets those that are the real problem off the hook. Byrnes was solid for a FP with 14 touches and a good goal. Rodan was a spark in the first half. They are simply role players. Jones gets no help. Our midfield is timid, boring, and spiritless with the footy. Watts, Dunn, Garland, Nicholson, and Frawley were just as bad as Gillies or worse. Up forward Pedersen was poor at times, Tapscott was worse, Sellar was lost, and Howe goes missing for large chunks. Toumpas was not impressive but is never going to be with no help from his more experienced teammates. Nicholson, Tapscott, Sellar, Toumpas, Watts, Dunn, Gillies, and Pedersen, are all under the gun for next week before I look at Rodan and Byrnes.
  19. I can see what 'it is about', BB. And it stinks that a fan precipitated what you are angry about. James should not have reacted like that - but he didn't deserve to be treated like that.
  20. We have players out there who have the temerity to live their lives after a loss. We shouldn't be attacking them for it. If you want to know why they weren't getting lashed at AAMI - talk to someone at the club. I am not going to tell the players that there life is forfeit if they lose, and I will not condone Demons stalking and attacking Demons online.
  21. What the f___ are you talking about? We have plenty to gripe about without resorting to whatever this is.
  22. What the f___ are we doing? Stalking players on social media?
  23. Get a group together and go for it (preferably after the season). You cannot just have the board and CEO quit with no-one to replace them. Get a group together and go for it, otherwise this is a waste of time.
