I get nervous when its seemingly a walk-up start for Buckley now that most resting senior coaches with experience have averted their eyes when asked, and the recognised potential assistants are reluctant to put there hand up, being comfy in their status quo. Back to the actual topic ... My take on Judd is that he will stay, pending our new coach announcement. Any signing right now would give the media reason to claim Judd (and by extension other players) were unhappy with Goodwin or his game plan. Signing after our new coach announcement would show his support for the new coach and future of the club. Assuming he does sign!!

Will be sitting with the happiness of the first 3 qtrs of last week in my back pocket while I watch in WA. The boys will be primed and ready and lets face it, if all the boys play to 80% of their ability, we will wipe the floor with their tattered feathers. I would suggest Goodwin wears the psychologist hat as well as the coach's hat. Therein lies the dilemma.

For me, this game was about Max getting back to his dominant self. In the past, a stoppage or out of bounds gave us probably a 60-70+% chance of Max getting us possession. In these 2025 early rounds, I would say, that % dropped significantly, along with Max's impact through general play. I'm hoping his game against Freo is a clear sign he has got back to his focused, dominant, and happy self as one of our, and the AFL's greats. Weirdly, his stat's from last week were better, so what do I know. 🤐
