Off the back of this question, why do we press up so high? A footy ground is much bigger than a basketball court and I don't think we have the fitness to execute this properly. Last line of defence shouldn't be half way up the ground.

I think we need him in the middle to try and get the ball in our forward half in the first place. Clearances would become a bigger issue if we pulled him out of there.

Same here, got in on my phone with 4G before laptop on wifi.

This reminds me of Mayzie famously saying we should've smoked the Pies in the 2023 QF. I wish we could win games we should win, rather than lose games we should win.

Contributing to a podcast isn’t public speaking. I like the conversational and relaxed style of the Demonland podcast.

1 thought that comes to mind is who gives a flying ****?

It looks to me that every bay has seating available in the Northern stand (apart from those behind the stage). It's comparatively emptier on the map compared to the Southern stand due to most of the Northern stand only having three levels for seating (apart from P42-45 in the MCC Members), compared to the Southern stand's four.

Perfectly good if you’re able-bodied. My understanding is it’s terrible if you struggle with stairs.

I’m envisaging in 12 months’ time the media raving about him as a steal, the Bobby Hill of this year’s trade period, miraculously becoming a star and propelling the Dogs back into the top four.

‘Seeing them win the premiership and celebrating with the cup, I was like [censored], we’re a better team than them. We should’ve beaten them.’

Can cover Mills while he's out with his mad Monday shoulder, then might find himself warming the pine again.

Not sure about a massive shake-up, but something hasn’t seemed to be there as much since 2021. We’re not selfless and playing for each other like we did. Not celebrating the one-percenters, picking each other off the ground, patting each other on the back.

Some random category 1 tickets were available on Ticketek when I checked a couple of minutes ago. Worth checking out for anyone who is still in need. edit - they seem gone now.

It's also won and lost by lots and lots of contests all throughout the match. The men selected are the ones who need to win the majority of those contests to win the match. I agree that pressure is of great importance but team selection also is.

Jesse Motlop. He'd be in the 22 for suspended Martin.

@damon the demon A very limited number of additional tickets will probably be on sale later in the week. Mostly standing room and unused corporate allocations. Keep an eye on the AFL's social media for details.

I know they have a system to prevent double dipping for the grand final, where if you don’t turn up to your balloted reserved seat you’re ineligible the following year to enter the GF ballot. I wish they could implement similar for all finals. Or change the seats that are available to reserve. Why do they put all of Q up for reserved seating? If you’re early enough of course you’ll find a spot in walk up instead of your nose bleed reserved seats.

So true. We unveiled our flag that night. We weren’t able to go to footy and watch our ‘21 finals run and drought-breaking premiership. On a beautiful March evening only 58,000 show up? Also 62,000 wasn’t much better for the Brisbane semi final last year. Cut-throat final and not enough of us showed up. You think we might’ve had a different result if we were able to create a hostile atmosphere and at least get 80,000 to that game? We’ll never know.

Got lucky. It let me in at 9:56 so just had to wait until 10 on the dot and then entered barcodes. Five of us in M30. COYBIRB!

Isn't the value of a reserved seat membership just the reserved seat for 11 home games and the grand final guarantee? As a GA member I kind of like the level playing field that the finals ticket process is currently. I agree with you regarding the questionable $30 'memberships' to access finals tickets though. They should be more expensive.

Got N25 in the AFL members, so happy with them.
-
Yeah I just double checked. The number's the same throughout those two emails I mentioned and the email from yesterday about finals tickets (plus I've got the physical card which has this number on it).
-
I got an email this year on March 13 (in the lead up to round 1) and May 18 (before King's birthday) which had the barcode number in it. Perhaps they can check their inbox for one of these emails?

You'd be able to sit with him, just not in a category one or two seat. Pre-sale for members only 10am-2pm. General public tickets on sale at 3pm. If you all wanna sit together you'd have to wait until 3 to try, which might be a bit risky since they might've all but sold out by then.
