Any danger the Suns can step up and finally win a clutch game in their under achieving footy life?
-
Now all we need is for GC to beat the Dogs and todays loss bears absolutely no consequence in terms of our top 4 chances.
-
Great effort there Layzie. Turns out the coffee wasn’t needed.
-
St Kilda and potentially Geelong really does ease the pain.
-
Therein lies the problem. Other good clubs can win a game with a couple of their best 22 out. Collingwood won a game with 6 of their best 22 out. Freo won despite Darcy going off mid game.

Fair call on Spargo. Blew countless opportunities today but he’s one of Goody’s 2021 favs.

Analysis of the Demon’s Forward Line

Aside from Fritsch and the odd cameo from Kozzie it’s a complete shambles. Compare that to Brisbane who can get a 4 goal performance on any given night from any of Daniher, Hipwood, Gunston, Cameron, Rayner, McCarthy or Bailey. -
The Chandler and McVee experiments are probably over.

Death Riding Fremantle 2023 - Feathered Cap Edition

Close the stupid thread. They were a 15 win season last year that were 20 points off a prelim. As if they were ever going to finish in the bottom 6 this year. And credit to Luke Jackson for defeating the much ‘vaunted’ Gawn/Grundy on his own. -
We were so accurate in the first 7 weeks of the season. Law of averages suggested It was always going to come back the other way and for the first time this year it cost us a game of footy.
-
And most of us didn’t even get to see it.
-
I’d suggest our ceiling is 5th/6th, a home MCG final, and a semi final exit. Collingwood would’ve found a way to win the last two weeks if in our position.
-
Hawks are at least going to win.
-
They guy needs to stop his stupid after goal celebrations. Like last week the games gone down the toilet after his celebration
-
Darcy’s gone for the game which is good.
-
I know St Kilda will win, but hoping the Hawks pull off an upset. Not sure I like the idea of St Kilda replacing us in the top 4 if we don’t get the job done.
-
Only because the Collingwood and Geelong games come before the Brisbane game. If we lose both of them, what kind of realistic chance would we be of beating Brisbane? But yes, at the moment Brisbane would be more of scalp than Geelong. I still have faith in Geelong making top 4 and have them going 16-7 as they start getting all their players back.
-
As much as I’d love a win today, and it’s a crucial game, it still won’t prove conclusively if we’re a contender. We have to beat one of Collingwood or Geelong IMO. Lose both and we’re just making up the numbers.

He might go better without him and thrive on the responsibility. He’s been less influential since Hunter’s joined us. His possessions have gone down from 22 to 19 a game and he’s on track for just a 4 goal season, down from 13 in both 2021 and 2022. The last 3 weeks he’s average just 16 touches and laid only 1 tackle.
-
John Longmire in his presser complaining about having a 13 day break and it not being a genuine bye break. He’s obviously unaware of our 10 day break between round 13, bye and round. 15.

As Andy/Demonland said in another thread, I really hope the Carlton hierarchy hold their nerve and refrain from sacking Voss - the week before we play them.
-
Cripps rolled ankle but don’t get excited for next week. Many players come back on in the same game with a rolled ankle.
-
I think the best they can get to is 9th.
-
Cerrra a chance to get suspended with that sling tackle on Hickey? Head hit turf.
-
I’d rather they lose tonight. We’re already facing a side (tomorrow) high on confidence.
