  1. 20 tackles inside 50 ✅
  2. Goes with the territory of playing for Carlton. Hope its not permanent
  3. Essentially they determined in the appeal that Cripps was contesting the ball and not bumping. Apparently his turning the body was in a chest marking action, not a bumping action Wasn't it a handball? No where in the appeal did they refer to Cripps' duty of care towards his opponent when he collided with Ah Chee at high speed causing him to be concussed. So why the [censored] does the AFL go on about the head being sacrosanct and the approaching player being responsible for the medical outcome? Kangaroo court, for sure
  4. The AFL want Carlton to play finals, big club on the big stage. Cripps is the brightest star at the club. It makes perfect sense that he would get off for no real reason. Meanwhile Ah Chee misses a week The AFL have no way of validating this decision, nor do they really care So want the blues to lose the next 2 and miss finals
  5. I get that players want to kick goals. Who wouldn't want to be the one that scores, particularly when they might've been burnt earlier by a team mate. However, score assists should be the highest bench mark and point of praise: selfless footy. Too often we see player's eyes light up when the goals are in sight, despite having team mates nearby in a better position. The 3 examples given by Matthew Lloyd are a weekly occurance. Is it selfishness, stiff team rules or lack of vision? The team usually swamps the goal kicker after a major when they would be better to first congratulate the 'assistee'
  6. No convinced Is this part of the peacemeal approach we've had with our forward line for the past 4-5 years? Would rather we throw what we get for Dogga plus his cap space at a good key forward. Who? I'm not sure. Maybe we can do both. We have the best ruck in the comp with little support (assuming Dogga leaves). But we have no quality key forwards, with both BBB and Tmac aging and on one leg Send Grundy the the Richmond doc for a thorough physical
  7. Kossie out Chandler in
  8. Dumb thread We got pick 6 for him. Take the money and run!
  9. In a marking contest its ok to put your hands in the back of your opponent and forcibly work them under the ball (see Ben Brown) unless your name is Harrison Petty
  10. Nick Larkey would be handy next year If Dogga leaves, we have draft pick/s to utilise The Coll game is yet another example where we desperately needed another quality key forward
  11. Must finish top 3 after H&A No team has won the premiership outside of top 3 in over 20 year (except bulldogs) Our best is well ahead of any other team. Need to keep that up for 4 quarters. Tmac returning would help 5 more wins and its back-to-back
  12. Weather looking pretty miserable for the game. Big Cox will be about as useful as one of those flapping inflatable figures at used car yards
  13. Weid does better as a second ruck/forward than solely as a key forward. I actually thought he was good that week both Max and Dogga were not playing. He's depth for our club. Not on a long or I assume, expensive contract. If posters can get over him being a pick 9 and look at him as inexpensive depth, then he's worth keeping as back up. He's worth more to us than what we'd be getting in any trade, especially if Dogga leaves and we still have no developing 2nd ruck However, if traded at years end I won't begrudge him the opportunity for a fresh start
  14. Would be great to see BBB come out firing after his 2 week break. 4 goals to him, 3 to Kossie, 3 to Max Oh yeah!
  15. You know nothing about the nature of his mental health. Nor do I. But you are saying he is faking mental health because he can't take the public backlash. That's called minimising the complexities of mental health Empathy not your strong suit, obviously Carry on
  16. Any announcement from Buddy or management? Reporter simply said "it is my understanding that..."
  17. Maybe Mr Steve lives on a horse stud farm. The rest I'd prefer not to think about...
  18. Wowee! Pro violence and a dig at mental health in one post. Well done
  19. Hawks would've had 3 top 10 picks each of the last 10 years if that was the case! 🤣
  20. Yes and no. Voss is doing exactly that at Carlton. Another 12 months and they might be top 4. Fagan as a first time coach at lowly Brisbane and now doing a very good job. Ten years ago your comments would have been spot on. These days it's more case by case. I think Ooze is a terrific coach-in-waiting. If he doesn't succeed at GWS or North I reckon he's too good to be overlooked at another club that suits his approach. But hey, let's hope he stays for the 3 peat!
  21. Brett Ratten and Michael Voss say hi. I think that 2nd chances will become more accepted by AFL clubs
  22. Go naturalist. Best way to use those medallions
  23. This has got to be the dumbest shaped 'oval' of all time. Looks like a flat tyre on my car
