I suspect there is more nuance to LJs decision than him simply being an anti vaxxer, if that is, in fact the case. Have we heard directly from him yet? Does he have a medical condition that may have influenced his decision? I don't know, but until the full story is heard perhaps we should hold back with the pile on. I hope he gets the information and help he needs to enable him to get vaccinated. Edit. Just read some quotes attributed to him about his retirement. Wants to keep his reasons private

A few that JT didn't nail or are yet to nail. Mostly late picks, I didn't look above 53. He has a tremendous success rate. Instrumental to our flag. JKH 40 Billy Stretch 42 OMac 53 Weid 9 Mitch King 42 Hannah 46 Baker 46 Nietzsche 53

I'm booking my Sept flight to Perth as we speak

I would think a 200cm teenager not having a tank would be pretty much par for the course. Just about the last thing a club recruiter would be turned off by. Certainly won't be an issue for us, he'll be gone by pick 10

Made a generous order GF night and another the next day. After numerous advisory text messages, today I received delivery of two stickers. Problem is they weren't even the stickers I ordered, but I guess its something. Regardless of covid hold ups, I wouldn't describe the process as being a well-oiled machine Hope I get all the ordered stuff before Xmas. Still happy to be basking in the afterglow of a premiership for now

Gone from 70kg to 80kg. He won't be pushed around as easily in the contest for much longer!
-
Ha! Not really, a pub and 4 cafe/restaurant visits in almost a week is tame, I would've thought. Pre covid it would've been 4 pubs! 🍺
-
And yet I've had quite the opposite experience. Green tick checked at a pub and 4 cafes/restaurants, also other retailers nearby. Local barbers have distanced queues down the street. I make a point of complimenting any business I use that is doing the right thing.

This kid looks like an amazing talent. Look how clean he is, how well he reads the play, his foot and hand skills look very smooth, excellent composure. Huge amount of talent to work with. Slightly built and gets pushed around, as do a lot of junior rucks, will spend a couple of years putting on muscle. Of course, its based upon potential, as are all of the covid affected crop this year, but put him in a club that can develop him and watch out! Would love MA to be working with Max and Dogga, but can't see it happening unfortunately IMO he's likely to go 5-10
-
I know its a highlight reel and all that, but its pretty bloody impressive nonetheless. No chance this kid lasts beyond pick 10

#1 at Carlton. Three generations But I agree. Most F/S would not care

Oh yeah, just found these too! Got to get me a pair of these to wear next season! https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/721219217/fingerless-wrist-warmers-with-buckle-afl?ref=sim_items_grid-12

AFL will not let this kind of deal get through, too close to draft tampering, nor would I trust any other club that agreed to do this on the sly.
-
Still waiting on a stack of stuff I ordered from the club on GF night and the following day (alcohol will do that sometimes) "Awaiting fulfilment" sounds like the last 57 years Wonder if I'll get it before Christmas?

How so? Mac is a ruck/forward while Alleer is an intercept defender

Do you mean straightening the off ramp to become parallel with the elevated Monash Fwy and terminate at Punt Rd closer to the Yarra? That's a great idea. Would require traffic lights at that point, rather than the northward merge currently next to Goshes. The advantage would be that traffic coming off the Monash could turn left or right at the new Punt Rd intersection rather than just travelling north. This would completely open up the triangle to Goshes parkland

Correct me if I'm wrong M_9, but Trident memberships have gone up nearly 10% for 2022

2021 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Stiff Arm replied to TRIGON's topic in Melbourne Demons
Read a bit about ruckman Josh Cripps, brother of Patrick. Havent seen much vision, but like the sound of him. Is he an option for us? Anyone know of his draft range? -
Could you please pm me tonight's lotto numbers? TIA 😉

IMO Hill is worth a mid 2nd rounder and a contract amount that would be Chandler and Bedford's combined. And then some. As good as they've been this year, there's considerable improvement still to be seen from Kozzie, Spargo and even ANB. Bailey Laurie could also start his journey across half forward in 2022 Unless Bobby is considered an outside mid, I don't think we will pursue it.
-
One small advantage of having pick 17 (which will prob end up being 19), regardless of it being for our 2022 1st rounder, is that if MA happens to be available at that pick the club will likely have the ability use 19 on another draftee and match for MA with later picks
-
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the whole issue in a nutshell. I'm am very happy with the swap. ...except, of course, if we finish last in 2022
-
Only if he is available at pick 21+, as unlikely as that is. We would've used 17 by then anyway.
-
17 will end up either 19 or perhaps 20 with bid matching. Though the same could also happen next year. Do we have any F/S prospects next year? At some point we may have the need to rid ourselves of a 1st round pick to avoid using it on a F/S bid match, like Collingwood this year. Eg. Kalani White perhaps in a couple of years
