  1. Imagine if all our players were as accurate as Fritsch.
  2. He must be livid about tonight's result. He almost carried the team in the third quarter. He's an absolute freak. I don't know where we'd be without him.
  3. Oliver's will to win is off the charts.
  4. I'm glad thad Fritsch's season has been recognised. I'd go so far as to say that he's been the best medium forward for two years.
  5. I honestly won't be bothered if we end up playing at our first final at the SCG. I always back us to win big games outside Victoria.
  6. What a win! Without a doubt that was our best performance of the year. I knew from the opening bounce that we were on. Our forwardline finally clicked. Brown, Melksham, Pickett and Fritsch can all take a bow. Bring on the Swans. If we play like we did tonight, we'll have them covered regardless of where we play.
  7. That was the definition of a professional quarter. Brisbane looked prepared to fight back in the first 5 minutes but we managed to stop their momentum and get back on top. That's what good sides do.
  8. I'm shellshocked. That was the most dominant first half I've ever seen. I'd take any win from here but I'm hoping this blows out to over 100 points. I haven't seen a team look as flustered as Brisbane do now.
  9. Possibly our best quarter of the season. No capitulation please. Some of these Brisbane players are awful, especially Zorko and Matheson.
  10. Melksham has rediscovered confidence. Looks like his 2018 self.
  11. Jake Lever's kicking goals. Hopefully that means this is our day.
  12. Some of the comments in the post match thread were depressing to read. In hindsight I actually loved yesterday's game. I'd be lying if I said that I never felt stressed and frustrated throughout the game but it was a brilliant contest between two teams who both had lots to play for. I think we should all be proud of last night's win. Carlton were always going to come out firing and we stood up when it mattered.
  13. Far out. That was without a doubt the most tense game I've ever attended but I'm thrilled that we were finally able to win a really close match. Melksham can take a bow. He has been making a massive difference to our forwardline lately. He must be selected for the finals. I'm probably going to watch the replay of that Pickett goal 10 times.
  14. One of the worst quarters I have ever seen.
  15. I'm not a fan of Collingwood but Geelong are my pet hatred. They caused us so much misery in the Bailey era. Beating them in the 2018 EF and the 2021 PF couldn't have been more satisfying.
  16. Yes Brown! We desperately need the next goal. No time for complacency.
  17. I actually think Gawn has been sensational so far. If he nailed those two set shots, he'd be on track to having one of the best games of his career. We're only going to win if we start being more efficient and stop making Collingwood look dangerous every time the ball enters their forwardline.
  18. I don't know why we can't play the game on our own terms. This fast, attacking style isn't suited to the way we play.
  19. This has been very similar to the bulldogs game. Hoping the result goes our way this time
  20. Was one of our best on Friday. He's become severely underrated by our supporters. He's already kicked 43 goals this year and he will likely end up with well over 50 if we go deep into the finals. Forwards like him don't grow on trees.
  21. You're seriously trolling. What exactly do you mean by "he can't man up?" His defensive work has been impeccable this year. There have been numerous games where he's saved multiple goals with his intercept marking. And your claim that he only performs against "rubbish sides" is just wrong. He was among our best in our win against Brisbane and in our losses to Collingwood and Geelong. He could've easily won the award on the Queen's Birthday. Your contempt for some of the players is simply too much.
  22. Tbh I'd possibly leave Fritsch out of that category. I think he's at about the same level as he was last season. He's currently sitting on 40 goals and this time last year he'd kicked 37. Yes, he has gone missing in some matches but he's been one of our only forwards who can be trusted to kick multiple goals each week. I think that his brilliant finals series has made people forget that he also had many quiet games last season.
