It would be interesting to see just how much money through betting companies SEN receive each year. It must almost keep them afloat and for that reason I would like to see it banned. I used to really enjoy SEN but find it hard to listen to anymore for a number of reasons.

I really hope that when they have their press conference they openly state where they expect to finish in the next couple of years. It feels like a club that doesn’t realise how far away they are from challenging for a premiership. Their list is so middle of the road it’s not funny and as you say their top end talent just doesn’t stack up against most teams.

What a poorly run club the Saints are, hope they have to pay out the full two years worth of his contract. I have know idea who their list manager is but surely you would sack them before Ratten.

I think we see things slightly differently about how either Grundy or Whitfield would impact us next year and that’s all good. There’s lots of people on Demonland and more importantly the club that think Grundy and Gawn could be a game changer. I am not convinced but hope I am wrong. I agree with you about our forward line, fitness and the bottom six players though and yes both players would be great.

Would love Whitfield he’s quick and skilful and would complement our other midfielders perfectly. Sadly I can’t see us having anywhere near enough salary cap space for him, I would much prefer him over Grundy but that’s clearly not going to happen.

Probably none of them, but I would assume the likes of Jordon and Sparrow might and Viney might do more run with roles if we decide to do any of that next year. I am personally happy if Harmes stays but it feels like the club is pushing his move out.

Just my opinion but I think the club will be looking at Bowey, Chandler, Laurie and Turner to step up next year and replace the likes of Hunt, Harmes and Tomlinson.

Certainly feels like the club is taking the opportunity to have a cull of experienced players on low to moderate salaries to give some youngsters a go. Which potentially frees up some cap space to keep the likes of Petty and Pickett on long term deals. It’s a bit sad seeing Hunt, possibly Harmes and a lesser extent Tomlinson going elsewhere next year but we need to get better and we need to give some of our younger players a go.

When you consider the quality of player Oliver has beaten to win his B & F’s and his age that he has achieved this it really is some effort. Oliver is easily the best Melbourne player I have seen and my favourite, and I like him even more that he doesn’t like public speaking. And as good as he is I still think he has the ability to improve even more.

From what I have been told Sam loves the club and wants to stay at the club. I will be surprised if he asks for a trade.

Wow was not anticipating that, Sydney have been atrocious. I don’t think there out of it yet but they would want to lift their game real quick.

I am surprised people are getting so upset about giving up a late first round pick for him. We clearly want him, he’s a bloody good player and where prepared to pay in the vicinity of $700,000 a season for him. And we are a club that like to get deals done so we can maximise other deals. I don’t agree with chasing Grundy and would much rather focus on other areas of the ground but he his worth a late first round pick even with it being a salary cap dump.

I have only watched the second half and where making Carlton look very average and that’s always a good thing.

I will be happy if we for once don’t have to play Geelong in Geelong. Surely the AFL can give us one year off that trip in their fixture.
